- White saviorism stems from notions of white supremacy --> Needing to be the ones in power and have influence and control
- Satisfying the sentimental needs of white people for a cause they can easily remove themselves from, i.e. humanitarian trip and then going back to their lives of luxury and not being continuously committed to a cause

Organizations are in desperate need for media attention, celebrities are considered the rulers of media, this turns into celebrities being exploited, since the west is the dominant culture for media, and white people are dominant in the "west" then it turns into 'white saviour' complex I think more education is needed not just for the audience but for celebrities as well. (to combat this> more celebrities from different cultures should have the spotlight)
2. White celebrities imply that people in countries like Africa that need their help are not human, and they are treated like props or lesser beings, which spreads the wrong kind awareness.
