I think a cooling system cools the engine by sending water around the engine block by the water pump then go in to the radiator which radiates the heat into the atmosphere

A cooling system is water and coolant getting pumped around the engine. It gets pumped by a water pump that is powered by the rotation of the engine and is connected by a belt. It forces the water and coolant around the engine and through the radiator so it makes the water a colder temperature to get pumped back through the engine.
