I do not think that haikus can effectively be translated from language to language, as there is a very specific structure that needs to be followed. In order to effectively translate it, you would likely need to either lose the structure, or lose some of the meaning behind the Haiku. I think it could happen if someone tried very hard and got very lucky with how many syllables they used, however I do think it would be incredibly hard to keep the structure and the meaning.

A haiku is infamous for having a specific syllable count (5-7-5, or 5-7-5-7-7, if you were to write an “extended haiku” or renga), and that restriction is exactly what forces poets to really consider which words are necessary and why. That minimalism can be translated into other languages, but it wouldn’t convey the true essence of the poem. And if someone were to try to translate it in such a way that the syllables matched up, they would risk losing some or all of the nuances of the poet’s original intent and meaning.
-Maria Olekh

Humans are usually represented through an animal, like exposing human beings when under stress or extreme situations. At the end of the day, humans are viewed like animals with basic needs, hunting and preying on the week. However, nature takes a different approach through emotions. Unpredictable and uncontrollable; I enjoy reading or finding symbolism in films that reflects the characters journey.

While translation into other languages may be able to convert superficial meaning, the poet’s choice of words and structuring of the poem is lost if translated into another language. However, this is not to say that all meaning and all implications of the poem are lost.
