From this survey, I concluded that the sample that took the survey said that music mostly made people happy, while most of the sample size said that spending time with family contributed to their happiness the most. Through this survey, I can determine that most people look to achieve long-term happiness in life, although a majority of people look towards materialistic things that only cause short-term happiness. Instead, people need to look at less temporary things like shopping, and playing video games, and instead look at things like spending time with friends and family.

Knowing that they will always have your back

Person 2:
What makes you happy? Fortnite
Why does this make you happy? A platform where you can hang out with friends, you can share and make memories on a low stress game while you can have fun.

Between these two people, it shows how some people favor achieving a short-term form of happiness and others look for a long-term form of happiness. For example, Person 1 shows that they want to achieve long-term happiness through things that last a long time. Whereas Person 2 looks to achieve short-term happiness through things or activities that might not be a source of happiness later in life.

What this article is saying is that materialistic things that grant us happiness temporarily rarely cause long-term happiness, instead it is determined more by how many 'happy' events we experience in life. Due to that claim, I have to disagree with this article, for example it is completely possible for someone to be happy in life even if they had a couple of bad experiences or days.

In this quote, it is saying that everyone wants happiness, no one wants pain, but you can't achieve happiness without pain. This is shown in The Great Gatsby through Tom and Daisy. For example during the book the two never seemed to be happy, and that is because they never had to work to get where they were, they were born into money and got anything and everything they wanted.

What this quote is showing is that anyone can be happy, you don't need to be rich and have a nice house to be happy. It all depends on your mindset on life. For example, in The Great Gatsby, as you can see, Gatsby thinks that he will achieve happiness if he gets Daisy, by cheating his way through life.
