         <description><![CDATA[<div>Used to assess malignancies to plan management and give a guide to prognosis.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Staging</strong> - clinical, radiological and pathological assessment of tumour spread.</div><div>Assesses 3 things:</div><div>•       Tumour size or depth of invasion</div><div>•       Involvement of lymph nodes</div><div>•       Metastases to distant sites</div><div> </div><div><strong>Grading</strong> - microscopic assessment of the degree of differentiation of the   tumour. 3 grades.</div><div>Generally, better differentiated tumours have a better prognosis. <br><br>-Cat (notes from neoplasm lecture)</div>]]></description>
