He was born on October 7th, 1952 in St. Petersburg or called at the time, Leningrad. He is now currently 64 years old. Putin started his career as a KGB intelligence officer in 1975. Since he was a KGB it allowed him to climb the government until now, prime minister. He became prime minister in 1999. Vladimir Putin is also very secretive. His mother was Maria Shelomova and she didn’t approve of him doing Judo. His father was also named Vladimir Putin and passed on his name. His Father was born on 1911 in St. Petersburg. Russia also has enormous natural energy reserves, including petroleum and natural gasses.

The Russian government promotes actively sports such as soccer. Some of their most popular sports are gymnastics, basketball, hockey, ice skating, and also skiing. Russia’s most participated in and spectated sport is soccer. They were plain clothes but if you have traditional Russian clothes than they will have a lot of crazy color. Traditional Russian clothes is a lot more money than normal but if you have the money you sure will be able to stick out. The stores with clothes are also bland with not much variety. They wear embroidered shirts, blouses, headwear and more. In the 1970’s people complained about the variety in clothes in stores and they got more variety but not a lot more.
