Cherry Valance is the best female literary lead character. She is honest, straightforward and knows what is right. We see these traits in her as the story progresses. She is honest about how she feels and knows that Greasers are not that different from Socs. Cherry is very honest.

Cherry sees past all the differences of the Greasers and Socs and she knows that they really aren’t that different and does not treat the Greasers like garbage unlike the other Socs. She is also very honest about her feelings during the novel, and is very straight forward. Cherry gets to the point, the honest truth without hesitation, and does not take time to say nonsense. She stands for what’s right, she does not see the Greasers as anybody different from her. Cherry stands up for the Greasers and knows that “Things are rough all over”. She has a good heart and knows what is right. Although there are other good characters, Cherry is honest, straightforward and knows what is right, making her one of the best Female Literary Lead characters. We see her express these traits throughout the book, and we soon know how good of a person she really is, despite the fact that she is a Soc and we get a bit of a bad vibe from Socs. But Cherry helps us see that Greasers are not the only ones who struggle through hard times.

The Giver

The Giver is the best novel because it shows us everyone is different, taking action is good, and when you remember the good, it will be easier to get through the bad. The Giver novel presents the concept that being an individual is good and you shouldn’t go along with things because everyone else does. Everyone is unique. The Giver shows this is a good thing. It is the idea of different that people don’t like and The Giver shows how things would be if nothing was different. This novel gives us a new outlook on how being different is good. Another thing The Giver shows us, perhaps a more important thing is, taking action is an ideal thing to do. Jonas takes action when nobody else does. This shows the reader that going along with things that are wrong isn’t right. It shows taking action is a good thing. This is a good theme to have because many people struggle with taking action. The most important thing The Giver shows us is taking the bad with the good is a way to get through the battle. When Jonas begins his training, he is given only good memories. When he starts to receive bad memories he almost loses it. However, the good memories helped him get over and through the pain, suffering, and loss. Jonas went through a lot of harsh and hard things mentally and physically. So did Gabe, but the good memories helped get them both through it. The Giver is the best novel because it shows us everyone is unique, taking action is good, and when you remember the good, it will be easier to get through the bad. The other books are good, great even. But The Giver is the best. The other novels have good lessons. However, The Giver shows several lessons for all different scenarios, it ties in real life with fantasy, and tragedy with love and happiness.

August is the best choice for the literary lead. August is the best choice for the literary lead because he believes he is just an ordinary kid, he is used to how he looks, and he doesn’t let other people get him down. August says, “I know I’m not an ordinary ten year old kid. I mean sure, I do ordinary things. I eat ice cream. I ride my bike. I play ball. I have an Xbox. Stuff like that makes me ordinary.” (Pullman) August is pretty much just an ordinary kid except his appearance. Also, August doesn’t acknowledge the kids making noises and making fun of him. He doesn’t just give up or not want to go outside. He has accepted what he looks like. Another quote from August is, “Like, for instance, one time in the playground some older kids made some noises. I don’t even know what the noises were exactly because I didn’t hear them myself, but Via heard and she just started yelling at the kids. That’s the way she is. I’m not that way.” August doesn’t get angry at the people that make fun of him for the way he looks. Clearly, August is the best role for the male literary lead because he is a strong well rounded individual and doesn’t let other people get to him.

She is a good person because she knows and cares about her brother because he has a bad medical condition. She knows how to be alone and figure things out for herself. She should be the female literary lead because she is very respectful and cares about others. She should be F.L.L because she loves and cares about other people rather than just herself. These facts are the reason Olivia Pullman should be F.L.L and not cherry and the others should not win in the in the Bahny awards.

Literary Lead--Jack Will

Jack Will is the best character since he would laugh with Auggie about what happens and doesn't mind being with him. In the novel Auggie has a thought that is, “I know he noticed kids staring at me, but he pretended not to notice”(Palacio). This shows that Jack doesn’t care what happens. Also, it shows that Jack doesn’t care about appearance very much. In the novel Auggie also has thought that is, “for some reason me and Jack starting cracking up”(Palacio). This shows that Jack is supportive in what Auggie does. Also, this shows that Jack and Auggie have gained a friendship and Auggie feels that him and Jack having something in common. Jack Will says in the novel, “‘that guy made the funniest face!’ said Jack as we sat down at our desks”(Palacio). This shows that Jack is ok with being around Auggie and finds things funny that most people wouldn’t find funny. This also shows that he is supportive of Auggie and doesn’t mind him. One of the major themes in Palacio’s Wonder is that Jack Will is the best character. Palacio shows this theme when Auggie and Jack are laughing about the 8th graders reaction to Auggie’s face. Not only does Palacio show that Jack is the best character it also tells the reader that looks don’t matter to have friends.

The best female literary citizen is definitely Lily, from The Giver, because she is a caring person, she is very unique, and she shows how the rules of the community affects people in the community. Lily is an extremely caring person in countless ways. Although Lily might not have the same emotions as Jonas, she is still cares a lot about the baby, Gabe. Also, Lily is unique and different from others. She is an energetic person who has lots of fun, but most of the other kids behave calmly and try their best to follow the rules. This makes Lily a different and unique person. Most importantly, Lily is a crucial character that shows how the rules of the community affects the people of the community. Without Lily, Jonas would not have entirely saw how the rules of the community affected the people since Lily is part of his family unit. It is certain that Lily is a caring person, she is unique and different, and she is an important part of the novel. Truly, all the other female literary citizens are favorable, but Lily is undoubtedly the most unique and outstanding character of all.

Cherry Valance is the best female literary lead character because she has very strong quotes that have a very big impact on other characters, she has courage and bravery to speak how she thinks, and she has a very strong influence on Ponyboy. First off, Cherry has quotes that impact other characters strongly. Cherry says that “ Things are rough all over.” She taught the Greasers that Socs have it bad to. When Cherry states that "Maybe the two different worlds we live in weren't so different. We saw the same sunset” she is telling Ponyboy that the Socs are not different because they both saw the same thing. Cherry also has the courage and bravery to speak how she needs to. Cherry stood up to Dally Winston when they were at the drive in. Nobody else would ever stand up to Dally and she had the courage to stop him and say what she needed to say. Dally was making rude comments and Cherry threw her soda at him. She is also brave because she was betraying the Socs and being friends with the Greasers. Furthermore, Cherry has a very strong influence on Ponyboy. She is always telling him right from wrong when she is with him. When Cherry was trying to connect with the Greasers, she had a very strong influence on the way Ponyboy was and acting and her influence made Ponyboy realize that Socs and Greasers are not all that different. She taught him that even though they each have different set values, they are alike. Cherry Valance is the best female literary lead character because she has very strong quotes that have a very big impact on characters, she has courage and bravery to speak what she wants and how she, and she has a very strong influence on Ponyboy. All though these other nominees are good, Cherry is the best because she has bravery to take her own risks and do what she needs to.

Although the other characters are very good, Johnny is the best because,He is always there for his friends.Johnny Cade always has pony boys back. He is ponyboys best friend and gang member.Johnny will do anything for ponyboy. Johnny and ponyboy were at a park when the soc’s came and they started drowning ponyboy in a fountain. Johnny killed the man that was part of the soc group to save his friend. He is a dynamic character.Johnny Cade changes through the story by, first Johnny starts off shy and he is known as the pet of the gang, then he saw Dallas Winston talking to a girl named Cherry Valance and Dallas was being rude. Johnny then stepped up and said “Knock it of Dallas” and ever since then he has became more vocal about things. After the movie night,Johnny killed a soc and it all moved from there. He ran away,He went into a burning church fire to save children and then he got severely burned and later died. Johnny Cade saved people,Johnny Cade does what is right even if it isn’t good. He saved children from a burning fire and killed a soc that was drowning his friend. He changed through the story and became more vocal.

Crash should win a bahnny for best novel because the character John developed from bully into a nicer person, the plot also shows that even though webb was being bullied he never retaliate. Crash is clearly the best novel. The theme of the story don’t judge a book by its cover. This shows how this book is better than the other novels because Crash’s household is rough which makes him angry but penn doesn’t know how is household is so he cannot judge. Throughout the Novel, Penn and Crash have conflict. This is the best novel because even though Penn is getting bullied it doesn’t bother him and it makes Crash realize his ways are wrong. The author's purpose is to that people can change no matter what. Crash was a bully to Penn all the way through the story and Penn never retaliated then Crash realized his way and changed. Crash should win a bahnny because the character John developed from bully into a nicer person, the plot also shows that even though webb was being bullied he never retaliate.

The Giver is the best literary male character because he showed Jonas another way of living life, The Giver also gave Jonas memories to have feelings, and then he told Jonas about the life behind the boundary. The Giver showed Jonas the life behind the wall. If Jonas was never shown the life behind the wall and how they are free from control, he would have still lived in the community with tight knit rules. Jonas now knows another way how he can live his life due to The Giver’s memories. Now Jonas can do what he wants to do whenever he wants without someone always looking over his shoulder. The Giver gave Jonas memories and he now knows he can feel emotions on his own. When the giver gave jonas the memories, The Giver was giving away his powers to Jonas which was putting Jonas with a lot of responsibility that The Giver knew he could handle. This soon lead on to Jonas learning responsibility and being more capable of doing tasks on his own. To conclude, The Giver was the most important because he showed Jonas another way of living life, the giver also gave Jonas memories to have feelings, and then he told Jonas about the life behind the boundary. The other roles up for best literary citizen are a tough list of nominees to beat, but The Giver will stand out and come through to the top.
