The presenter went over new features in Britannica, NatGeo Kids, and Learn360.

The presenter also highlighted a new database in the Gale group- Miss Humblebee's Academy, designed for ages 3-6. It actually does a cognitive assessment of the child and designs a learning path for them. Parents can sign up for a free account and then share the info with the school so the teacher can participate also. Could do this as a Parent Center or Literacy Night event. Ideas were presented using TexQuest digital resources to help students become familiar with answering these types of questions and learning from authentic resources. This is something I have been doing but the librarian presenting made it one of her main focuses for last school year to great success. It made me realize I can do much more. She had several great ideas - things I had not thought to do - and steps on how to implement and links to resources. It definitely got my brain moving and creating.
