DAY OF THE DEAD

The Day of the Dead is a traditional Mexican and other Latin American celebration that honors the dead, which is celebrated on November 1 and 2. On those days it is customary to give offerings to the dead so that they are not given anything to get to their "fourth paradise." In addition, they have their photos presented during all this time and people dress in a very colorful way, they paint their faces with beautiful colors. Although it is very alien to the reality of my country, this is a celebration that I like very much, because it keeps alive the memory of all the loved ones who no longer accompany us. My interest in this celebration came when I saw the movie called coco, which represents this beautiful tradition in a very cute and funny way.

These festivals are in honor of our patron saint, which is San Roque and they are celebrated in my town. They are celebrated on August 17, 18 and 19 of each year. During this time, different activities are carried out such as horseback riding, prosections, masses, concerts and fandango dances. They are very entertaining, because we receive people from all over, and it is a date in which all the people who are horiund from the town, take the opportunity to visit their relatives and enjoy the festivities. Since I was little, I have enjoyed them, because I really like to dance and enjoy the company of all my loved ones and friends.

This is one of the most important festivals of Christianity and commemorates the birth of Jesus Christ and is celebrated on December 25, generally in the Catholic and Evangelical churches. It is a very important date, as it integrates many families. This is a celebration that many people take advantage of to get together and enjoy a family union. Personally, on this date I work a lot during the day, but at night I really enjoy being with my family. In my house we dance and eat too much, and it is very gratifying to see how everyone enjoys it. I also like to see all the things in my town decorated with lots of lights and Christmas decorations.
