When engaging with the Qur'an, one must treat it with the utmost respect. This includes performing wudu (ablution) before handling it, never placing anything on top of it, and recognizing its sacred status. Regular recitation of the Qur'an is encouraged, allowing its words to guide and inspire daily life. Reflection on its meanings is also vital to understanding its message and applying its lessons. When listening to its recitation, one should focus completely, seeking spiritual guidance and inspiration from its divine words.

By embodying these etiquettes, we grow spiritually, intellectually, and morally, aligning our efforts with the path that pleases Allah and benefits humanity.

The Five Pillars of Islam are the fundamental practices that every Muslim is obligated to observe, serving as the foundation of their faith and actions. The first pillar, Shahada is the declaration of faith, affirming that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is His messenger. This statement solidifies a Muslim’s belief and commitment to monotheism. Salah, the second pillar, involves performing five daily prayers which is Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha. These prayers act as a direct connection between the worshipper and Allah, fostering discipline and spiritual growth.

Zakat requires Muslims to give a fixed portion of their wealth to those in need, purifying their wealth and promoting social equality. Sawm, fasting during Ramadan, entails abstaining from food, drink, and other physical needs from dawn to sunset to cultivate self-discipline and spiritual reflection. Lastly, Hajj is the pilgrimage to Mecca, which every Muslim must undertake at least once in their lifetime if financially and physically able. This journey symbolizes unity, equality, and submission to Allah. Together, these pillars guide Muslims in their faith, fostering spiritual and social harmony.

1. Tawhid al-Rububiyyah: Acknowledging Allah as the sole Creator, Sustainer, and Controller of the universe.

2. Tawhid al-Uluhiyyah: Worshipping Allah alone in all forms, without associating partners.

3. Tawhid al-Asma wa Sifat: Believing in Allah’s unique, perfect names and attributes, free from comparison or distortion.

Tawhid shapes my worldview, guiding me to live a life of devotion, humility,

and purpose.

1.Prophets are humans, not gods.They face challenges like us but are protected from major sins.

2.They were chosen by Allah to deliver His message.They teach us how to worship Allah and how to live.

3.The Prophets of Ulul Azmi : Prophet Nuh, Prophet Ibrahim, Prophet Musa, Prophet Isa, and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon them) are known for their strong determination and patience in spreading Allah's message.

Prophets are a sign of Allah’s mercy, guiding us to worship Him and live good lives. They are role models of patience and faith. Prophet Muhammad (SAW), as the final messenger, left a perfect example to follow and helps us stay on the right path.

1. Minor Signs (Early Warnings):

-Increase in earthquakes and disasters.

-More women than men in society.

-People neglecting good deeds and focusing on worldly pleasures.

-Time feels faster.

-Arab lands turning green and snowy.

-The Euphrates River drying up to reveal treasures.

-Competition to build the tallest buildings.

2. Major Signs (Big Events):

-Smoke (Dukhan): A smoke will cover the earth for 40 days.

-Dajjal (False Messiah):A great deceiver claiming to be divine.Prophet Isa (AS) will return and defeat him.

-Yajuj and Majuj (Gog and Magog):A destructive force causing chaos, later destroyed by Allah.

-Dabbah (The Beast): A creature that will mark people as believers or disbelievers.

-The Sun Rises from the West: After this, repentance will not be accepted.

Lastly,The earth will be destroyed.All souls will die before being resurrected for questioning.

The signs of the Day of Judgment remind us to prepare for our accountability by doing good deeds, avoiding sins, and repenting. They show Allah’s mercy in warning us, giving us time to change and return to Him.

1. Taurat (Torah): Given to Musa (Moses).

2. Zabur (Psalms): Given to Dawud (David).

3. Injil (Gospel): Given to Isa (Jesus).

4. Qur'an: Given to Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as the final, complete, and unchanged guide for all humanity.

Earlier books were changed over time, but the Qur'an remains preserved and is a universal guide.

This belief shows Allah’s care in guiding us and reminds me to rely on the Qur'an for truth and wisdom, while respecting all previous scriptures.

1.Qada’ refers to things already determined and cannot change (e.g., gender).

2.Qadar refers to things planned for the future that can change with sincere dua, like sustenance or marriage.

This belief teaches us never to lose hope in Allah’s mercy. Even if we face challenges, Allah’s plan is always the best for us. Keep praying, trusting Allah, and believing that He knows what is best.

Angels Raqib and Atid record everything we do, good or bad, and we will face the results.

This reminds us to live responsibly, avoid sins, and seek forgiveness, knowing that every action will be judged by Allah in the Hereafter.

This story highlights the importance of respect, patience, and dua in dealing with parents, even in difficult situations. While Ibrahim faced rejection, Allah replaced his sadness with blessings, granting him a righteous family and lineage. It reminds us that respecting parents is essential, and we should approach disagreements with kindness, pray for them, and trust that Allah will reward our efforts with goodness.

Hikmah and Ibadah: Engaging in ʿibādah with sincere intention helps build qualities like humility and devotion. Through this, a person can develop true ḥikmah (wisdom).

Hikmah and education: Hikmah pedagogy is a way of teaching through deep thinking and questions, which helps students think better, ask questions, and be more independent. This supports the goals of Islamic Education, which are to understand, live by, and practice Islamic values.

Niyyah means the intention behind an action to seek Allah SWT’s reward and get closer to Him. Having the right niyyah is important because it shows whether an act is truly for Allah or for others. Without niyyah, a good deed may not be accepted.

Here are simple tips to keep your niyyah right:

1. Be sincere – Do it only for Allah, not to impress others.

2. Keep it pure – Avoid hidden or selfish motives.

3. Be clear – Know what you’re doing and why.

4. Stay focused – Don’t let distractions take over.

5. Be consistent – Keep your intention strong from start to finish.

Amal means doing good deeds and acts of worship to show devotion to Allah. It also encourages kindness and helps the community. What matters most is doing these deeds sincerely, with the right intention, and consistently. (eg: Salah,Fasting)

Ehsan means having good qualities like compassion, honesty, humility, and patience. These virtues help us live a better, more meaningful life.

To truly make Ehsan part of who we are:

1. Be aware of its importance in Islam.

2. Understand what these values look like in real life.

3. Practice them in your daily actions.

4. Reflect on how well you're living by them.

5. Grow by making these values a natural part of your character.

1. Obedience to Allah (SWT): Ibadah is a command from Allah, and performing it shows our submission and devotion.

2. Spiritual Cleansing: It purifies the heart and soul from sins and spiritual illnesses.

3. Strengthening Faith (Iman): Regular worship deepens our connection with Allah.

4. Discipline and Routine: Acts like prayer train us to be disciplined and consistent.

5. Inner Peace and Contentment: Engaging in sincere ibadah brings sakinah (tranquility)

to the heart.

2. Fasting – teaches patience and empathy.

6. Du‘a & Dhikr – strengthens mindfulness and trust in Allah.

• Distracting thoughts – Gently bring your focus back without frustration.

• Allah mentions in Surah al-Mu’minūn (23:1-2) that success begins with Khushūʿ in Ṣalāh.

🧼 Becoming Sin-Free Like a Newborn

• The Prophet ﷺ said that a person who:

  • Makes wuḍū’, praises and glorifies Allah sincerely,

  • And prays with full devotion,

  • Will return as pure as the day they were born.

🤲 Having Previous Sins Forgiven

• ʿUthmān (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu) reported:

  • Whoever makes wuḍū’ like the Prophet ﷺ,

  • Then prays two rakʿah without letting the mind wander,

  • Will have all previous sins forgiven.

🏡 Earning a Guarantee of Paradise

• The Prophet ﷺ said:

  • If a Muslim performs proper wuḍū’,

  • Then prays two rakʿah with full focus (heart and body),

  • Paradise is guaranteed for that person.

🕊️ Example of Deep Khushūʿ: ʿAbdullāh b. al-Zubayr (raḍiy Allāhu ʿanhu)

• Known for being motionless like a stick during prayer.

• Once, while he was prostrating, a catapult struck and tore his garment during the siege of the Kaʿbah.

• He did not even lift his head, fully immersed in prayer.

2. Brings Peace to the Heart → Giving to others brings inner happiness and satisfaction.

3. Increases Blessings of Wealth and Health → Spending in charity brings more barakah (blessings) in life.

4. Helps the Poor and Needy → Provides support to those struggling with basic needs.

6. Leads to Forgiveness of Sins → Acts of charity help erase past sins and mistakes.

7. Builds Stronger Community Bonds → Encourages communication, support, and care among people.

8. Spreads Love and Unity in Society → Reduces jealousy and builds a more compassionate community.

9. Encourages Mercy and Kindness → Develops a caring attitude towards the less fortunate.

Joining Usrah has been a really meaningful experience for me. I learned a lot, not just about Islamic knowledge, but also how to improve myself as a person. It reminded me always to check my intentions and try to do things sincerely for Allah.

One thing I gained was a stronger connection with my faith and more confidence to share my thoughts in discussions. I also appreciated the sense of support and sisterhood in our group.

For improvements, I think it would be nice to have more interactive activities or small group sharing to make things more engaging.

Overall, I’m grateful for this journey and hope I can continue applying what I’ve learned in my daily life.
