Tom Smith waited for his flight to Istanbul at Heathrow Airport, London. It can be seen that he was going to visit his fiancée in holidays. While the plane was flying, he was looking at his fiancée's letter. It was their appointment to meet in Istanbul. His fiancée named Angela. She lived in Istanbul and worked there. On the plane to Istanbul, Tom met a young man named Kemal in the next seat. Kemal studied at London University but his home was in Istanbul. So he was going home for holidays. Throughout the journey to Istanbul, they talked each other and then they became very friendly. When the plane arrived at Yesilkoy Airport, Istanbul, Kemal greeted Tom and gave his phone number to Tom. Tom Smith looked so nervous to leave for Istanbul and he was looking forward to see his fiancée who worked there. As a secondly important thing of the scene, the letter from Tom's fiancée named Angela was so attractive to the readers. For me, a place  she appointed to meet Tom was so amazing and romantic ​and l was also really interested about their relationship. Finally, for the readers, it was so interesting about how the author can construct to appear a familiar friendship between Tom & Kemal during the journey to Istanbul and  the author ended the chapter one with the two men arrived at the airport in Istanbul.
