         <description><![CDATA[<p>Phoenix, Arizona, resident Sedric Gant has worked in the communications industry since 2018. Prior to these roles, Sedric Gant worked in education and the criminal justice system after serving for 12 years in the military.</p><p>Mr. Gant was a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps beginning in 1982, where his roles placed him on sea duty for two years. He was also involved with the Freedom Task Force in Lebanon, Somalia, and Afghanistan. After retiring in 1994, he worked in a penal institution as an operation lieutenant for the Department of Justice until 2014, when the University of Phoenix hired him as a military enrollment specialist.</p><p>In 2018, Mr. Gant took a position in communications with the service provider CenturyLink. As a customer service and sales representative, he assisted customers with their concerns about their accounts, the types of services the company offered, billing changes, and other general queries. This role also required him to conclude each call with an appropriate resolution that met or exceeded customer expectations.</p><p>After working with CenturyLink for two years, Mr. Gant was hired by Consumer Cellular in 2020, where he is now a team supervisor. His job involves troubleshooting, workforce management, drafting reports, training agents, and filling in for other supervisors.</p><p>When not working, Mr. Gant’s professional interests are varied and span theology, the military, training, fitness, and traveling. His interests are hiking, reading, listening to live music, drawing, and playing chess.</p>]]></description>
