Multiple days each week in my class, the students will review a new topic that will cover concepts of math that can be applied to real world application and hands-on tasks. At the start of the week, I will create a post on the discussion board to guide students by providing examples to set them on the right track. Throughout the week, the students will respond to my initial post with their idea and to respond to at least 2 other classmates, discussing what you learned from their project. This activity created to allow creativity thinking as well as being able to interpret classmates projects written. This will also encourage them to discuss with peers their ideas and create a comfortable and inclusive atmosphere.

Student Assignment Instructions

Monday: Students will reply by midnight to the teachers original discussion post with their idea, not the entire assignment, just what they are thinking about doing.

Tuesday: Students should have created their own assignment and posted it by replying again to post but with the submission of the assignment

Thursday- Friday: Students should reply to two or more students work discussing what they have learned.

Thursday- Friday: Students should reply to two or more students on the other students post discussing what they have learned from reviewing other students projects. The post should involve at least two sentences, starting with the phrase, "I like your project because____." and the second sentence should start with, "I learned another multiple of 10 can be ____."

This enables students to recognize patterns between the multiples and attempt to recognize how the multiples can change and still equal ten, for example, how 5 plus 5 is ten, but also three plus two plus five is also ten.
