Journal Entry

Lea has a pretty secluded area of transportation, she likes to stay in the same area. She is near the island, which could be because there is a lot of food in that area, less predators, or even breeding reasons. It seems that only few times would she travel far off the island and in deeper waters (-100m or deeper). Other than that, she would stay either on land or about -50m. Off the island the bathymetry is mostly continental shelf, so its not very deep anyways. I would say that this effects her movements because it keeps her in a certain type of area. She is in a way “stuck” near the island or continental shelf (we can’t tell if its because she likes it because we can’t ask her!). Maybe she gets too tired after traveling far off into deeper waters. But as the map shows, she continues to stay on/just off of the island and not straying too far away.
