I think it would be very helpful to me, because i really don't like getting needles, and if i could play VR while getting a needle it would help a lot.

Using Frame VR, they developed engaging learning materials like games and videos. VR was used to provide an immersive, interactive experience that allowed students to explore ocean conservation in a way that traditional methods couldn't. The project, called Techy Teachers, won a $10,000 prize in a global competition and was showcased at the United Nations Science, Technology, and Innovation Forum, where it received positive feedback for its innovative approach to education.

-Chloe

The simulations are very realistic apparently so they are much more effective in training firefighters for specific or dangerous situations. Also in partnership with advanced haptic suits, the simulation can do pretty cool things like replicate weight which regular VR headsets can’t do. For my connection, I was playing a VR game and I lit someone on fire and felt bad so I put them out so I’m literally a firefighter.

(This is a certified Dylon Industries production)

Stove- top fires are the leading cause of house fires in Calgary. Mayor Jyoti Gondek said “You don’t have time to react. It has to be ingrained in your brain what you’re going to do to get out of that situation,” she said. “And if you can give young people and their families the opportunity to experience through VR what kind of a situation they might be in and what an escape looks like, you’re preparing them for something that might ultimately happen to them.” I can make a connection because in summer I saw that a forest fire caused around half of a town to burn down near Banff.

- Lucas
