On my last visit to the forest, I saw the deer family. it was quite a unique experience for me because it was a great chance to see them from very close. They were looking at us and it seemed like they were asking lots of questions who are you? what are you doing at our place? 

They were medium-sized deer with tan fur, and dark foreheads, and their tail had black tips. 

In my back home country, we have these kinds of animals only in zoos. We can't see them on a regular basis as we don't have enough forest area over there. but here in Yukon, I feel lucky that I get a chance to observe the wildlife very closely. 

I feel we should engage with a Forest Ranger to explore the forest's mysteries, discover creatures, and learn about fascinating animal footprints. And I feel Yukon is the best place to feel the nature and wildlife.

Animals play a crucial ecological, cultural, and economic role in human existence, facilitating diverse interactions and emotions in various cultures.

Observing their enthusiasm is delightful as it cultivates a passion for exploration and establishes the groundwork for subsequent education. This is one of my favourite festival because of the history behind it. I belong to sikh religion and Diwali represents the liberation fight for the Sikhs. It commemorates the triumph of Guru Hargobind, the sixth guru, over Emperor Jahangir's plans to imprison him and fifty-two other princes in 1619. In Hindu, Jain, and Sikh traditions, Diwali, also called the Festival of Lights, is observed to represent the victory of light over darkness and good over evil. To celebrate the triumph of kindness and light, people exchange gifts, light up their houses with lamps, and take part in numerous celebrations.

I went to Gurudawara Shri Akaljot Sahib(holy place/ sikh temple) at Alaska highway. All Indian people get together to celebrate this festival with the blessing of God. I feel so happy and blessed to be a part of this wonderful event. 

I noticed some of the Canadian people and  philliphino people were also came to join us. I was really surprising for me and also it brings happiness on my face that they respect our culture. One of Canadian friend had dressed up in my traditional costume (salwar suit) and she was looking so pretty. 

I read in the books and heard stories that In fact, Diwali frequently acts as a unifying event that brings together individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Many communities throughout the world take part in the celebrations, relishing in the spirit of joy, sharing, and togetherness. It's not only confined to one community. The diversity of celebrations reflects the inclusivity and shared objectives of making everyone happy and joyful. But yesterday, I experienced it.

The people from other nations also became part of this festival and they enjoyed it very much. They followed our religious traditions. I feel this kind of events bring people together and bring respect to the different cultures and traditions. 

As immigrants , human beings, early childhood educators, international students, I think we all should promote cultural diversity by giving support to the leaders of these events organizing.

Teaching about cultural diversity will help the children to learn more about other countries which will be beneficial for their future business plans. If they will learn about other cultures and traditions, they will respect them and try to understand their importance. Knowledge about every cultures will help them to visit each part of world and they can explore the world. 

I will try my best to share my experiences about different cultures with children to enhance their knowledge. I shared my rangoli picture here. Indian rangoli is a traditional art form in which vibrant designs are drawn on the ground, usually for festivals or other special events. This custom has cultural meaning and is more than just decoration; it represents good fortune, coziness, and a feeling of welcome. Rangoli promotes artistic expression and creativity while strengthening the bond between neighbours during festivities.
I used to make rangoli at home in my back home country specially on Diwali festival. I love to make it. I used to make it with powder colours but here, I didn’t have the powder colours. So, I cut some coloured papers into tiny pieces snd made a rangoli. I felt so happy about it that I am still connected with Indian traditions. 

My group of toddlers always like to do activity with colourful cut pieces papers. They like to stick little paper pieces on the white sheet and show their creativity. I live you see their art pieces which represent their image of artists and creative.

Moreover, Colours affect a child's emotions, thinking, and creativity, and they are vital to their development. Vibrant colours can pique a child's interest and encourage learning, while various tones can have a good effect on their behaviour and mood. Furthermore, exposing young children to a range of colours can improve their visual and cognitive development.

It reminds me the day of Diwali 2 years ago. At that time, I celebrated this festival and made rangoli with my family. Now, time has changed and I celebrated this day, made rangoli as well but away from my family. I sm happy that I bring that happiness here by making this beautiful rangoli. I showed it to my family members via video call. We all were so excited. 
One think I felt that place can be changed, time can be changed, and living style can be changed, but I feeling towards the thinks which always brings happiness and excitement cannot not be changed.

I am not habitual to live on the snow land because I am from the Punjab (India) where I had never experienced snow before. Last year, I felt very very cold but this year I am feeling better. I think, I am becoming more habitual to this cold weather. I am full prepared for this winter as compared to last winter. I think this is a positive change for me that I am ready for heavy snow and cold winters. 

I observed while working with children that they loved snow. Snow brings joy to children as they build snowmen, engage in snowball fights, and experience the thrill of sledding down snowy slopes. The cold, crisp air adds to the excitement, creating lasting memories of winter fun.

I enjoyed the winter with kids where I also felt my childhood. To create excitement and enjoyment, I think teachers can integrate winter activities into the curriculum, such as snow-themed art projects, science experiments about snowflakes, or literature readings related to winter. Outdoor activities like snowball math games or snow-writing exercises can make learning enjoyable. I think good early care and learning settings are essential because they have a big impact on a child's whole development. A child's early years are characterized by rapid and significant brain development, which lays the groundwork for later learning, behaviour, and health. Encouraging and stimulating environments improve social, emotional, and cognitive abilities, laying the groundwork for success throughout life. A child's capacity to learn, form relationships, and adjust to new circumstances is greatly influenced by their early experiences, so the calibre of their early care is essential to their wellbeing.
Putting these ideas into practice requires a combination of deliberate tactics and continuous dedication. These are some doable actions which I would like to put in my future daycare centre.
1. Individualized Learning Plans: Based on each child's particular interests, strengths, and developmental needs, we will create individualized learning plans for them. So educators can get to know each child better through observation and understanding, make regular updates to these plans.
2. Ongoing Communication: Retain regular, honest communication with kids and their families would be there. I feel making an effort to get their feedback and include it in the planning and decision-making processes should be done at every daycare centre. 
3. Inclusive Environment: We will promote an atmosphere where each child is respected and accepted. Adopt procedures that honour diversity and provide all kids and families a feeling of community.
4. Collaborative Programming: there would be Plan, develop, implement, and assess programs in conjunction with kids and families. Because of this cooperative approach, every child's educational experience is customized to meet their unique needs and context.
5. Professional Development: Keep up with the most recent findings and methods in early childhood education. Make an investment in continuous professional development to improve our understanding of and ability to create environments that are stimulating and responsive.
6. Flexible Curriculum: we will create a curriculum that is adaptable to the interests of the students, allowing for impromptu learning opportunities. This method encourages participation and a passion for learning.
7. Cultural Competence: It will be made sure that educators should gain the ability to comprehend and value the various cultural backgrounds of kids and families. To make my programming meaningful and relatable, include cultural elements.
8. Positive Discipline: We will use techniques for positive discipline that emphasize guidance and instruction over harsh punishment. We will encourage kids to discover their potential and make meaningful contributions to their communities.
9. Reflection and Evaluation: My team will consider practices and assess their efficacy on a regular basis. All will be open to changing and improving their strategy in response to ongoing evaluations and input from kids, families, and coworkers.

 I know that due to deep wilderness and bitter cold, winter camping in Whitehorse is both thrilling and difficult. But as I read and heard from my friends, I feel Yukon winter camping  is filled with interesting things to do, like seeing the Northern Lights, enjoying the solitude of snow-covered landscapes, and going dog sledding or ice fishing. To successfully navigate the harsh conditions, it is imperative to emphasize proper preparation, including specialized gear and survival skills.
I didn’t do camping but here, I observed the children that love to do camping. I noticed their excitement before going camping and a  they shared various things about camping after coming back such as what they did there, where they went and how they enjoyed. They express their feelings in little words and I love to hear those stories from them.

Moreover, a positive and supportive environment fosters mental development, with open spaces promoting exploration, critical thinking, and imagination. In addition to this, social skills are developed through collaboration and positive interactions with peers and adults. Besides that a climate that respects social diversity enhances a child's sense of identity and belonging. 4. Activities: Include age-appropriate activities like counting, sharing, or show-and-tell, fostering cognitive and social skills.

5. Movement: Integrate simple movement activities to keep children engaged and help them expend energy.

6. Calendar and Weather: I used to do with preschoolers that Introducing concepts like days of the week, months, and weather during circle time to promote understanding of time and seasons.

7. Transition Songs: Educators should use songs or rhymes to smoothly transition between activities, helping children understand the structure of the routine.

8. Respect Individual Pace: Be mindful of each child's attention span and participation level, adapting activities accordingly.

9. Closure : I think we should conclude circle time with a brief summary, reinforcing key concepts, and expressing positive expectations for the day.
