The goal is to find out a needed solution that can be deliver in form of a community service, which will mark a lasting impact.

1. EMPATHY – this also helps to find the core of the problem (or need).
2. PROTOTYPE – taking risk, how will we find the best solution?

Creative is NOT coming up with 100 bright ideas daily. Creative IS having the ability to identify a need somewhere in the community -> go out & ask lots of geat questions -> using the answers to uncover that briliant idea.

Design thinking = a process for addressing complex problems that starts with empathy. With this, one might realize that the initial challenge that they thought they were solving is different with the actual underlying challenge that's most important. Or in other words, design thinking gives the chance to redefine the challenge. 

Using design thinking process in school will help kids to be more engaged in class and take ownership of their education. Defining – defining and redefining challenges

Prototyping – creating a model trough a number of reiteration process

 

Design thinking enables students to engage more in their learning, and therefore, to improve their achievement: engagement and achievement, ownership in education

 

Design thinking prepares kids for college and, more importantly, life after school.
