I think this because when the emporer did something like for example put his shoes on his ears, everyone else put their shoes on their ears. Another example was when the rat tricked the emporer that only elegant people can see the clothes that the emporer was going to wear, at first nobody saw anything (because there was nothing there) but when the emperor said that the clothing was there and that only some people can see it they all started to say that they saw it and that the clothing was elegant and beautiful. The first time he lied was when he was displaying his company and chose a person he already had known in order to get a good but fake comment about his company. The second time he lied was when he was trying to convince the emporer that he was the finest Taylor in town, after that he started lieing about his new clothes that could only be seen by the wealthy and powerful. Eventually he kept lieing more and more and people started realizing what he was doing and he got in trouble for it. The moral was that you should not  listen to people who trick or do bad things. Sometimes you should follow others and sometimes you should not. Don’t always think of people doing the right things all the time. The rat and his “gang” had lied to the king, which made the people in the castle follow his thought and ideas. I noticed after the king said that everyone agreed with him to think for yourself and my reaction was surprised and confused beacuse they never thought about thinking for themselves they always just copied the king.

Then they figured out it did not cure everything and the rat was lying. Then the rat offered to make the emeporor, new clothing but for a price. But the clothes that the rats supposedly made him wasn’t clothing at all, and they also realized the rats were going to take all the money he gave them and run away with it. Then since the king had not clothing on his followers were going to do the same.
