We’ll explore 7+ embedded tools and try them together.

AI Image:

Users write a prompt and Padlet generates an image based on that prompt.

We’ll split into three breakout rooms.

1. Scan the QR code – you’ll see 4 columns.

2. The first column lists all the tasks to complete in your breakout room:

• I Can’t Draw

• Talk for Me

• Sandbox

• AI Assist (or, if unavailable, use Magic AI)

• Magic Padlet

3. If you are in Breakout Room 1, post your responses under Breakout Room 1.

The same applies for Breakout Room 2 and Breakout Room 3.

AI Art Studio:

1-It is a more advanced AI image generation tool.

2-You type a detailed prompt, and the AI creates a higher quality, artistic image.

3-It’s closer to AI image generation apps and links like DALL.E or Bing Image Creator etc. It can be used for class projects, concept posters, discussion starters and Visual Storytelling.

A Padlet is a digital bulletin board for collaboration.

It has evolved beyond just posting sticky notes.

With AI integration, we now have generative features (text, visuals, automation).

To make sure you have access to AI tools, make sure you have the Teacher version.

3-If you have the feature, you’ll see a purple icon “ Magic Padlet” option at the top

4- If you don’t see it, it might be based on the region or settings or it might be available only on paid teacher or school plan.

5- An alternative is Padlets AI features like AI image, Talk for me, I can’t Draw, or Chat GPT.

AI assistant can make the following updates to your board:

Updating the title or description: Change the title or provide a more detailed description for your board.

Adding or reorganizing sections: Create new sections or organize them as desired.

Adding or editing posts: Create new posts, edit existing ones and manage their content or appearance.

Updating settings: Modify settings such as:

• The board format

• The wallpaper

• Post comments

• Post reactions

- Log into Padlet.com

- Click Make a Padlet or open an existing one

-Add a New Post

- Click the + button at the bottom or anywhere on the board

- This opens a new post window

-Access the Draw Tool

- In the post editor, look for the “Draw” icon (it looks like a pencil or squiggle)

- Click it to open drawing options

Use AI Assist

- At the top of the drawing pop-up, click on the tab or button that says AI Assist”

- If you don’t see it, try clicking on I Can’t Draw”— sometimes the AI Assist option appears under or near this name (Padlet occasionally renames or shuffles features)

-Type a Prompt

- Type something like:  “A robot teaching students in a forest”

  or

  “A flying classroom in the sky”

- Padlet will generate an image based on your description

-Insert the Image

- Click Insert once the image is generated

- It will be added directly to your Padlet post

If the AI Assist Draw Tool isn’t visible:

- Make sure you're using Padlet on a browser(some features are not fully supported on the mobile app)

- Make sure you have not disabled AI features in your Padlet settings

- Try clicking “I Can’t Draw”— that sometimes hides the AI assist option

- If your version of Padlet doesn’t support it (some free/basic plans may not show it), try using an external AI image tool like Craiyon](https://www.craiyon.com)or Bing Image Creator,then upload it manually

It converts text into a natural sounding voiceover.

Its perfect for adding narration to presentations.

How does it work?

1-Type a short sentence in a Padlet post.

2-Click “Talk for me” and choose a voice style

2-choose a template

3-Click +

4-click on the three dots

5-You’ll find talk for me or “AI Speech”

6-Say the sentence out loud

7-Save it then play

2-Open the padlet website, not the app

3-You’ll find something similar, which is “AI Speech 🎤

4-Type your sentence or paste text

5-Choose your language, click on next

6-It will take a few seconds to generate the audio

7- You have to save, then publish to be able to listen to your audio.

8-Click on the “play icon

Padlet generates a drawing based on the prompt.

Could AI ever replace teachers, or will it always remain a tool to support them?

What is it?

It’s essentially a template that uses AI at the setup stage to help you create a discussion board quickly. You can type a topic or question into the prompt box, and the AI will automatically generate:

• A relevant board title

• An introductory description or discussion starter

• Optional example posts or categories

• What it isn’t:

Once the board is created, it doesn’t actively analyze, moderate, or respond to participants’ posts. The AI doesn’t “run” the discussion — it only helps scaffold it during creation.

• Why it’s labeled AI:

The “AI” part is in the content generation at the beginning — it uses a text generation model (like GPT) to produce the initial framework for your discussion. After that, it behaves like any other static Padlet board.

Think of it like this:

It’s not an AI facilitator, it’s an AI set decorator.

If you want a truly “AI-powered” ongoing discussion, you’d need to pair it with a live AI assistant (e.g., the AI Assist tool) that could respond or prompt as people post.
