Summary:
The author gives out the definition of time, describes how the time flows, in anywhere.

- The author creates a godly figure for time. -> Time is god like, knowing everything on the world, just like an ommiscient. (The flow of time never stop)

- “I am” repeats 13 times in the whole poem. (Use of reputation & personification) The author wants to further emphasis the identity of the time: an ommiscient wise “man”. Also, through the description of its identity also shows that time is everywhere. It can be a thing in the miro world - a dust, it can be a thing in the nature - a plant, it can also be the clock - the real form of time. All together, this shows the time can be significant but also insignificant things. This links to the idea of existentialisation. (What’s the purpose we are here? Are we significant as we think we are?) Significantly, we are just like a drop in the ocean, to the time.

My answer is Yes, it might happen. My mum has told me a story about her college. Her college and her husband was fell in love since they are in university, and recently, their baby was born. But it's really rare in the society.

What can you infer about Shinji's feelings based on these quote?

These quotes create an image of Haszu, of course he is attracted by this girl from the place outside of this island. But I think the thing really attract Shinji is the big difference between her and other island girls: the ways of she gazing the sea. People on this island is very familiar with sea, so they won't spend so much time to take a look of the sea for such a long time. (gazing the sea) Thus, this causes the curiosity of Haszu.

What is the difference between rumours and gossip?
Rumours: a currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth. Basically, just spread fake and very harmful informations.
Gossip: casual or unconstrained conversation or reports about other people, typically involving details that are not confirmed as being true. But these things might not be harmful.

Why do people spread rumours or engage in gossip?
Gossip is a tool to maintain the communication and stability of the people in the group, and promote the stability and prosperity of the group. Especially for the setting in . People just live in one island, so the message will pass around in a very fast speed during daily chatting. Every day, the residance on the Song island do the same job as they did the day before. Therefore, they are engaging in gossip, discussing something unusal and are new to them.

How would you feel about having an arranged marriage?
I think the disadvantage of arranged marriage is bigger than advantage. Although people’s parents can judge his/her future wife/husband, but I think there’s still difference between that person idea and his or her parents idea.
