         <description><![CDATA[<div>Logic is a "digital audio workstation" that I will be using for my composition. Logic is more comfortable for me because I am more of a hands on person and I tend to work better with actually playing the instruments on a midi keyboard.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I started on a new piece on Logic. My previous one was just a trial to see what variety of things are available for me. I worked on the beginning of my piece and decided that I will start off with a scale. Then, I decided to work on a chord progression with the piano so that I can have a solid idea of which chords will be suitable for me to work with. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I wanted to create techno style chords that would act as the edm part of my piece. In order to do this, I watched a youtube video by Alex Rome in order to pick up some tips on creating these chords.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In class, I was able to combine the EDM style chords I made and the more orchestral part of the piece. I tried to figure out what would be a suitable style of transition. I was also trying to pair up the chords with beats that would be appropriate with the rest of the piece. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Instead of making a certain instrument only 4 bars, I decided to make them 8 bars so that it can build up slowly and also develop a bit of a minimalist style in the piece.&nbsp;In addition, I organised the instruments so it is easier to follow along while listening to the composition. </div>]]></description>

         <title>Reflection: 28 April</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I decided to cut out the main edm parts of my composition and make it more of a classical and minimalist type of piece. In order to do this, I had the cello play the main bass notes first. Then, I proceeded to add simple piano chords then more complex piano chords. Beneath all these, I also added a simple drum beat in order to keep it in rhythm and also make it less classical.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As suggested by Mr.Bradshaw, I will add some dynamics to the main bass line or have another cello line and build up on the main chords. I will also end the piece like I started the piece so it is kind of in a mountain shape. I also will add more layers to the middle so it is more complex and would actually be like I built it up then built it down.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I reorganized my whole composition so it looks neat and tidier and when looked at, people can kind of see the physical and musical structure I am going for. I also added layers to the middle as suggested and also added some new instruments in order to enhance the main melody.&nbsp;<br>In the picture below, you can kind of see that it is going from 1 instrument to more and more layer and it's adding on to expand more into the climax.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I started working on the ending of my composition and decided on how to make it mirror my introduction. I decided to go backwards to the way my piece starts so I ended my piece with the cello line just like the way I started.&nbsp;Before the last cello phrase, there was the grand piano and before that there was the African Kit. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I went over my entire piece and fixed the places that needed fixes and quantize the chords that needed quantizing. I also organized the order of the instruments and cleaned my composition up again and checked to make sure everything was in place. </div>]]></description>
