(9/28) I can explain the factors that affect Eurasia's climate.

Factors that affect Eurasia's climate are the distance from water, distance from the equator, wind, water current, and elevation. You can see in the map that the southern most areas of Eurasia are the hottest. That is because it is closest to the equator. The northern most areas are the coldest, because of how close they are to the Arctic Circle.

(9/29) I can explain how Russian policies impacted their environment.

Russian policies impacted their environment because they did not pay enough mind to it. For example, they were so focused on economic growth that they didn't realize how much pollution was in the air, and it damaged their resources. Also, by not paying attention to the Aral sea, too much of the water was used for irrigation that the Aral sea is now shrinking. The incident in Chernobyl is also an example of this. Safety was not accounted for so that when this incident occurred, it greatly damaged the environment. Russian policies impact their environment when they fail to consider the environmental consequences of their decisions.

The population problem in Russia is that their population is declining. Reasons for this are that they have a high death rate, low birth rate, encouraged abortions, alcoholism, and little immigration. Opposite of immigration, many people emigrate because they want a stronger economy. Also, men have a lower life expectancy than women because of alcoholism.

When Eurasia was in a communist state, the economy was declining. There were unfair taxes and there was too much focus on industrialization that the economy suffered. Also, everyone had an equal job even if it wasn't a great one, causing the GDP Per Capita to go down during communism. However, after the fall of the Soviet Union, leaders like Gorbachev and Yeltsin transformed Russia into a more free place to live.
