Just after the halfway mark in the first, Jimmy Lodge started an explosive first frame with a snipe from the left circle on the power play. It would only take 12 seconds for Jacksonville to strike again, as Christopher Dienes sent a cross-ice feed to Cody Fowlie for the second goal of the game. A mere 71 seconds after Fowlie’s goal, Bobby MacIntyre stole the puck in the defensive zone and skated down the ice before ripping a wrist shot past Branden Komm. Following MacIntyre’s goal, Komm was pulled for backup Mark Dekanich. The Icemen scored five goals in the first period for the second time in team history. In the second period, Jimmy Lodge extended the Icemen’s lead to six with a spectacular goal.

Sydney Matzko got the start against the Seminoles but they got on the board early in the third inning with an RBI double and an RBI groundout put them on the board 2-0. FSU added two more in the fourth and one in the sixth before adding seven in the seventh ending the first game 13-0. The second game was more exciting. FSU started it early scoring in the first but UNF pushed its first run across when Alex Arciola rocked a double to score McGory. The Ospreys scored two more runs in the sixth due to Dominica Cocuzza's double. UNF scored three runs in the seventh where they had a rally going but they fell short and lost 9-6.

On Sunday March 11th the UNF baseball team closed out the series against the Fairfield Stags. They won the game with a score of 6-1. Fairfield took an early 1-0 lead but we’re not able to score more than that. UNF started out the game with a few errors and just little drops that led to the run. However, as the game went on they tightened up and were able to later take the lead. It actually flipped scripts and Fairfield was the one making errors later in the game. They had some drops and a few misplaced throws that led to runs by UNF. It was a good win for UNF.
By Alex Blackwood

By: Jordan Franco

On Friday, March 9th, the women's soccer team faced the University of Central Florida Knights in a 7-on-7 contest. Usually there are 11 players on the field for soccer games; however, due to special circumstances (injuries to UCF players), both teams played with seven players on the field. From the beginning of the game, UCF put tremendous pressure on the Ospreys, behind an aggressive offensive attack. In the first 15 minutes of the match, UCF gained a 2-0 lead, and could have easily been 3-0 if it weren't for a diving save by UNF's goalkeeper, Rhiannon Conelley, in the 2nd possession. Momentum began to turn in the 30th minute of play, as UNF's Lorena Cedeno, scored off of a stolen ball. This brought the Ospreys to within one goal of the Knights In the end, however, UNF missed several opportunities to score, while UCF continued to put pressure on the Osprey's defense. The Ospreys took a disappointing loss of 4-1.

On Tuesday Manchester United faced Spanish giants Sevilla Fc at Old Trafford. First Half was scoreless, but it was obvious to whom the game belonged too. It wasn’t until the second half that the head coach of Sevilla made a substitution that would complete the missing piece to his puzzle. Wissam Ben Yedder netted in two goals in the 74th and 78th minute to give Sevilla a 2-0 lead. Later, in the second half Manchester’s Romelu Lukaku sparks a little light to the team in the 84th minute but that wasn’t enough to erase the damage that had been done. With this win, Sevilla Fc is headed to the quarter finals for the first time in 60 years.

With a very strong field up against him, Tiger got off to a great start with 3 birdies and 6 pars for a front 9 33(-3). Tiger went on to par his next 2 holes before making a double bogey at the 3rd hole, his 12th hole of the day, after an errant drive bounced off of a cart path and went out of bounds. However, Woods was able to birdie 3 of his next 6 holes en route to an opening round 68(-4) which puts him 4 shots off the leader Henrick Stenson.

Michael Thomas has a monster day, catching two touchdowns for the Saints. It wasn't enough and Stefon Diggs racked up 137 yards and the all important touchdown to send the Vikings to the next round. The Vikings are set to face the Philadelphia Eagles in what looks to be an exciting game.
