He was born on the 18th of January 1937 in Derry. He founded two political parties, The Social Democrats and the Labour party. He earned three peace awards: The Ghandi Peace Prize, The Martin Luther King award and The Nobel Peace Prize. He also helped keep peace with England because the
English did not like to deal with Sinn Féin because they were involved with the IRA and the IRA bombed London so he helped Northern Ireland and the Irish people to be more respected by Britain. We can why John Hume was considered the Greatest Irish person ever because helped Ireland be Ireland.
