The first day

We meet at the Aranjuez’s train station at 12.00pm, after that we took a train to Chamartin. Time after, we arrived to the airport but we have to wait for the plane.

We arrived in Vienna at 20.40 and took a flixbus to arrive to Bratislava where our Slovack partners were waiting for us. And finally we go to the houses to start this wonderful experience

We met at school and then walk to the Primate’s palace

Around 12:30 we went back to school to have lunch in the canteen. We had sheep cheese soup and chicken with rice or potatoes with tofu

After lunch we learned the traditional Slovak dances and we tried to do them with help of some students. We also tried some typical Slovak sweets

The school of crafts

After that, we went to do some traditional Slovak crafts to a workshop, which is called ÚLUV. The four different activities were glass painting, tinkering, felting and textile techniques. We divided into four groups and each one will be doing a different activity

We took a bus to the train station, and then we took a train to Vienna.

When we reached Vienna, we setted a meeting point and the teachers letted us explore the city freely.

After the match, because tomorrow we were setting off to Madrid, we took some last fotos together before going each one to his home.

After visiting Vienna, we went to Bratislava again to see a Hockey match together.

Today was a very sad due to the fact that we have to say goodbye to our partners and to Slovakia. We met at the bus station at 9.45 where we had to say goodbye to the new friends.

This exchange has been a wonderful experience for us and we can't wait to see our friends again to continue with this wonderful adventure! We are sure this is just the beginning of one of the best experiences in our lives❤️

Meeting at 8:00

We met everyone at the school at 8:00 and went walking to the EU committee in Bratislava as it was near the school. We learned how the EU can help european citizens by providing different resources to each country that forms part of it.

After the talk, before going to school we went to Bratislava Castle, were we could see some of the views that this Castle offer us.

After lunch we went back to school to make some t-shirts with our exchange partners trying to share some of each culture

Free Time

Lastly, before going home, we had some free time so we went to see the Christmas Market of Bratislava and walk around the city

Finally, we had some free time. Some of us went to one of the girl’s house and spent all the afternoon doing Christmas cookies and watching a movie. Others went around the city of Bratislava and the rest had a great time in a jump center

In the morning we took a bus to go to Brno, Czech Republic.

When we arrived, we went to the Haroska School. First, the Slovak students presented their school and city, and then some of us did the same, talking about Aranjuez and our school.

After that, with our exchange partners and the Czechoslovak students, we did a gymkana in groups to get to know their school.

First, we arrived at the High School, where they gave us a presentation about their school and Bratislava. Later, we played different games in the gym.

After that, we did a gymkana around the city, where we had to answer different questions and take different pictures along the way.

When we finished, Karla, the English and Spanish teacher, gave us a tour around the city and told us the most famous legends.

Afterwards, we had lunch and visited the city’s Christmas market. Then the teacher and the students walked with us to the bus station, and we said goodbye before going back to Bratislava.

Finally, when we arrived at the shopping center in Bratislava, the whole exchange group got together to do an activity the teachers had asked us to do. It was about learning phrases in each other’s language.

We all decided to sing a Christmas carol in the other group’s language. The Spanish students sang “Silent Night” in Slovak, and the Slovak students sang it in Spanish.

After we finished recording it, we split up and went home.

This day we had for lunch pea and vegetable soup and depending on what you choose pasta with pork or sweet rice.

After lunch, they gave us a presentation about local crafts.

After that, we had some free time, and we went to the house of a Slovak classmate where we played Uno.

Also there, we practiced some tricks with an aerial silk.

Finally, at 6 o’clock, we met the teachers in front of a palace, where we took some photos. Next, we went to a restaurant where we ate traditional duck (a commom Christmas dish). And that was our day.
