Despite their differences, the poem reminds us to view all children as competent learners and are curious to discover and construct their knowledge from their experiences and environment. Each child is unique. They learn and express themselves differently. Thus, to facilitate all learners in the same classroom, it is essential for educators to have varied form of teaching style to ensure that every child learns in the same classroom. Incorporating arts, movement and play are some ways to engage our learners. It is crucial to involve children in the planning of lessons so that both educators and children have a common purpose which increases interaction.  

It is indeed challenging to change the ideology of having a less structured learning environment by incorporating play. Furthermore, our formal education is still facing the pressure of achieving good results in this meritocracy society. However, we should allow children to hold the power in learning and exploring, building on their curious minds, not diminishing our little ones’ abilities and dashing their dreams.
