Mistki has used a multitude of techniques throughout her music which has certainly inspired me as a musician. What I really love about her is that not all her songs follow the same musical pattern, she creates each one differently and they each deliver a different type of emotion and/or story. Complimenting Mitski's theatre type songwriting, her deliverance to perform and sing very much inspires me as an musician who often plays in bands.

Each one of his songs cover a different feeling or experience that his listeners can relate to and draws them in with his poetic lyrics filled with symbolism and metaphors.

Coming from a phase of constantly partying, Mitski stumbled upon a Jeff Buckly CD. Before then, she only ever listened to American big hits and other popular music. When listening the Jeff Buckly, Mitski realised there are other genres and ways to make music. She was impacted by the different musical format of his music/songwriting and figured out she could do the same.
