This music session was something new to experience. I realized the best thing to follow the rhythm is just to turn off brain (that's something I try to manage when competing tennis matches) - don't think just count for yourselves and try to move your body. Maybe this could also work in classes. The story of Rita about the Lithuanian instrument was quite interesting and it turns out that instruments are often more than just objects :).

The music theme was very nice today. Rita's story of planted trees on the birth of sons and daughters in Lithuania being turned into musical instruments on their death is a lovely tradition. It was great to hear the melody of the Kankles and afterwards get a chance to play the traditional drums of Guadeloupe. Yet another delightful day!

The only time the music plays really loud in our house is when I'm cleaning it. Rhythmic music provides energy for cleansing and at the same time gets the energy moving in the house. Finally, after the floors are washed, I put on some calm, meditative music that plays for about an hour. It is for calming and balancing energies. At least that's what I hope. I really enjoyed playing the drums. I feel like I should be more aware of what I do and the feelings I experience.

In today's session, I learned about the benefits of music and its transformative power in our lives. Music, as an important resource for health and well-being, has the ability to take us to different emotional states and provide a sense of liberation. Additionally, it helps to relax, reduce stress and anxiety, stimulate creativity, improve communication, and promote socialization, thereby providing a better quality of life.

As teachers, we should use this strategy with our students because music not only enhances learning but also contributes to the overall development of children in a playful and enjoyable way.

In today's session, I learned about music therapy as a therapeutic practice that uses music to promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being. I realized that its benefits are widely recognized and applied in various contexts, such as self-care practices.

Music therapy has a significant impact on reducing stress and anxiety. Moreover, it is effective in cognitive enhancement, stimulating memory, and improving attention.

As an education professional, I consider and recognize the benefits of music in my work and pedagogical practices with my students. Participating in the music therapy session with Edgar Ferus from the Kontakaz Cultural Center was a privilege! It was very gratifying to experience once again the vibration of Gwoka and feel the local and ancestral rhythms as a form of multiculturalism and self-care.

In conclusion, today's session provided a holistic approach to the power of music, benefiting both body and mind, promoting a better quality of life and an overall state of well-being.

Music is a form of communication and socialization. What would we be without music? Music makes me dream and enter a world of creativity and fantasy. While listening to music, our body relaxes, we feel the rhythm, and we reproduce it in different ways: by singing, playing, or dancing. Music has the power to unite people, improve communication, boost mood, strengthen memory, relieve pain, calm, reduce symptoms of depression, stimulate physical activity, increase pleasure, stimulate the brain, and strengthen the heart. No matter the genre, listening to music is a strategy for coping with emotions and controlling them when a person is having difficulty expressing or communicating what they are feeling. Today was marked by a fantastic experience: I listened to the music, felt the rhythm, felt it in my heart, and reproduced the melody on the drum. It was relaxing and motivating to hear this diversity of sounds. Thank you for the experience.

The rhytms of heart and rhytm of organic world are combined and the living creature holds and acts within the world as a part of this great composition what we make together. The rythm is life and life is rythm.

It was really nice to play together and learn local rythm patterns. I would enjoy doing it again and again.
