If the girls hadn't bought a present for whose mother who was called Marmee, they would have saved money, but the next morning they had woken with a present from Marmee that was a book for each girl which cover's color was different. Then Marmee and little women went to help a poor family whose house should have been too destroyed to fix the windows. When they came back home, received a Christmas dinner from Mr. Laurence who was a friend of the family. Finally, the girls and Marmee read a letter from Mr. March who was little women's father and was in the army. Days later, Meg and Jo met Laurie Laurence who was Mr. Laurence's grandson in a Christmas party, then Laurie brought back home the girls because Meg had sprained her ankle on his grandfather's carriage. Days before the party Laurie got ill so, Jo brought to him a basket with Beth´s three kittens. One day Jo and Amy argued because Jo annoyed her, so she burnt Jo's novel, she got very angry, but she tried to rewrite her history and little by little started to publish her histories. Time later, Mr. March got very ill, Marmee decided to go to help him, so Jo went to cut her hair to obtain money to help too. While Mrs. March was with her husband, Beth was too ill because a poor baby died in her arms, so Marmee went back home and finally Mr. March too.
 One day Laurie told Jo that he had seen Meg's lost glove in a pocket, she got angry because she believed If Meg had fallen in love with somebody, she would have ignored her family and never came back home. But months later on Christmas, John Brook confessed his love to Meg and she could have seen him as a friend because she told him she didn't know until Aunt March started to talk bad about him and realized she was in love too. Mr. and Mrs. March liked him but Meg was too young, so then three years later of dedication they made a simple and hummer wedding. The next days they worked harder, Meg in the house and John in his business so they were happy but tired. Passed a year, they decided to make a surprise to Laurie about they had had twins, they told him to close his eyes and put in his arms Brook and Meg's babies whose names were John and Meg too, although he preferred that she be called Daisy because there are many Meg in the family.
 Aunt March had invited Amy on a trip around Europe because Jo had bad manners and hated French, Jo got angry because she thought that Amy had all the fun while she was working. Amy sailed and got fun with old friends who were Fred and Frank, and Frank was in love with Frank. Beth was sad and Jo thought If Beth had written sad songs and had talked about boys, she would have been in love with Laurie, so when she realized it, she started to get away from him. Then she went to New York to teach Mrs. Kirke's kids. When Jo came back home, Laurie graduated and he confessed his love for her, but Jo rejected him, Laurie felt very sad but Mr. Laurence consoled Laurie and said that he did right. Later Laurie went to France and found Amy, they spent time together but she started to see bad things in Laurie because he wasn't polite and was lazy.
