What does tessellation mean, in your own words?
Tessellation means: arranging shapes, especially geometric, into a pattern without overlapping.

2. How you created the tessellation
my tessellations were created by first creating an 8x8 canvas in PS, creating guidelines (4'', 2'', 1''), finding and cropping my picture to the pattern I wish to repeat, resizing the image to fit the guide squares (4'', 2'', 1''), moving the picture into the square, duplicating the layer, moving the original square into a different square, edit>transforming the  new layer, and repeating until a series of 4 squares is created. Repeat the layer duplicating and edit>transforming process until all squares are full, move guidelines so make sure no white lines are left behind, merge layers, edit as you please.

3 What did you like about this? What was your favorite image?
I liked the finished product of the tessellation process, especially  the final color editing. My favorite of the five is #5 because of the small square sizes and how it creates a more trippy design.

4. What did you struggle with?
I struggled with making sure all of my layers were properly duplicated. The repeated motion of flipping and transforming also become somewhat confusing.

5. If you had to do it over again, what would you do differently?
