Tucker Carlson has had a voice in FOX News since 2009, and was one of the most recognizable speakers and pushers of Republican agenda.
Personal Reflection Journal #1 - 7th Grade v. 8th Grade

It is May of 2023, only a mere few weeks until 8th grade is over, and I will be brought into high school. To be honest, 8th grade had seemingly flown by, unlike my previous years where it seemed to go by slowly. One minute, I am arriving at Mrs. Major’s class for my first period, and now I am creating a website in her class as part of an end-of-the-year project. In 8th grade, I have faced many challenges, and yet I have conquered each and every one of them. Firstly, I had a difficult adjustment to the learning curve. 7th grade was one of the easiest school years of my life, and I was expecting a slight learning curve from 7th to 8th. However, 8th grade was exponentially more difficult than 7th grade, with introductions to many new topics and subjects. It was overwhelming at first, but over time, I learned to manage it. Along with this, I had to get used to math. For the previous 3 years, math was much more easier, and the teachers I had were clear and concise with their examples and explanations. However, this year, my current math teacher does not explain things very well, and it has made math much more difficult for me. Finally, it took me a while to get used to my new 8th grade teachers. They all had very distinct personalities and rules, and it took me a while to fully understand their rules. In conclusion, the differences between 7th and 8th grade were astounding, and I cannot wait for high school.

Personal Reflection Journal #2 - What I Would Tell Myself From a Year Ago

If I could tell myself a year ago about all of the experiences I had this year, my 7th grade self would practically fall over. I’d tell myself about all the bullying, annoyances, and stress that would come into the future to prepare my 7th grade self for what’s to come. Truth be told, in 7th grade, I was not prepared for 8th grade to be extremely difficult, have many bullies, and leave me talking about what crazy thing happens each and every day. I’d tell my 7th grade self that every day would have a story of its own, whether it be someone getting caught cheating or me overhearing a bad rumor about my friends. However, I wouldn’t say all bad things to my 7th grade self. I’d tell her about a new friend I make that is in near every class with me who never cares about what other people think of him, her closer involvements and working in the theater department, and showing her how her writing skills have improved in one year. I wouldn’t say it was all bad or all good; I would just tell her that it would be a rollercoaster. Also, I’d tell her to smile for her upper school ID photo.
