The pd topics need to feel like they are chosen for a specific purpose and will be used in an impactful way. Building pd often feels like principals are given the time and they just fill it and it feels like a waste of everyone’s time.

Is teacher feedback included?

Feels like jumping over some stakeholders to do this right now.

How do you ask this question to students to help them identify it? Students don’t know what a PD day is.

Can the culture survey feedback be connected to PD? (Students notice peers mistreat staff, so how do we improve that?) Use the data already collected.

This feels more appropriate for high school students to allow them to learn things they are seeing used in the real world or online that they are interested in being exposed to.

This feels like an opportunity for someone without the background training trying to drive instruction and tell teachers how to do their job which is already a frustration for teachers.

Have students reflect based more on what helped them make their goals instead of reviewing a teacher.
