i am wafa hazwani binti shahrul munir (248488) , i was born on 10th of september 2006. i'm the second of five child. i was born and raised in sabak bernam , selangor. i've graduated from samt sultan salahuddin abdul aziz shah and currently pursuing my studies in the foundation of islamic revealed knowledge and heritage at islamic international university malaysia in campus kuantan , pahang.

more abt myself ; i usually listen to musics and watching a korean or chinese drama series during my leisure time. i'm a big fan of kpop group named seventeen which made me being a carat. i like to go to a vacation. i love spending time with my family and friends.

last 23rd of august was our first meeting. we've done taaruf but honestly i still don't remember all the names yet yapayapayapa.

the first topic we discussed is manners in seeking knowledge. in conclude, as a good students , we need to have a good manners especially with teachers and lecturers to find the pleased of Allah swt. it is very important for us to have a good manners in seeking knowledge.

apart from that , the second topic is al-quran as the book of guidance. we summarize that al-quran is full with story of prophets as well as mankind. we should apply what we've learned from the one and only scriptures , al-quran in our daily life. it could give a positive impact in both world and in the hereafter.

ibadah camp

attended a 2-day ibadah camp on august 23 and 24. there's a lot of activities have been held such as qiamullail , tazkirah and talk. other than increase knowledge , we also got to strengthen our brotherhood during the teamwork.

this week topic is about pillars of islam. there's a hadith where jibril asked prophet muhammad s.a.w. about 3 highlighted aspects of islam which is islam , iman and ikhsan. i noticed that i just learned this hadith in akidah class during week 1 before:> we also discussed about the importance of hadith.

since the mid-term break is extended we need to do our meetings via google meet. so the topic is about pillars of faith. Allah has mentioned five of the components of faith in Surah Al-Baqarah, verse: 177. “... Righteousness (is the quality of) the one who believes in Allah, the Last Day, the Angels, the Books, the Prophets and gives wealth, in spite of love for it, to relatives, orphans, the needy, the traveler, those who ask for help, and frees slaves...”

we were tested with a blackout in the whole campus. so today we are doing our meetings in cafe khalid al walid casually. we continued our discussions about the pillars of faith. we understand what is the purpose of messenger, the hereafter and qada' and qadar. we also list down the virtues of believing in pillars of faith.

we were on a short break due to the unstable electricity in the campus. so were doing our usrah via google meet once again. for week 5, it's about the concept of islam and its relations to islamic eschatology. i learned that every mu'min is not a muhsin but every muhsin is a mu'min. prophet Nuh, Ibrahim and Yusuf as the role model of muhsin.

it's finally our sec last usrah meets for this sem. the subject for this meeting is manners and morality. we talk about the different and connection between manners and morals. we were also divided to a small groups to discuss and present about surah maryam verses 42-47 about the manners of prophet ibrahim a.s. with his father and relating it with our daily lives.

finally, it's our last meet. for the last day we're together, we doing a presentation about our group topic that have been given. and then, doing a short discussion about appreciation for the nature and environment and sustainability in islam. we end our meet with our last group photo.

from joining the usrah since week 1 until week 7 i gained more knowledge about islam, hadith and life. i even get to know more friends. usrah is actually not that boring. at least i learn some lesson from this short friday discussion. doing usrah also can improve our communication skills especially for an introvert. i still didn't talk that much but at least it's improving than day 1.

as usual, usrah always begin w an awkward situation. but luckily i've someone i know in this group. ofc the first meet will start w the taaruf session and we played a lil games during the ice breaking. then, we continue our usrah w the first topic which is 4 important elements of taaruf which contains of taaruf, tafahum, ta'aun and takaful.

this week we talked about pillars of islam (sources and benefits of ibadah). as we alr know, we must obey to Allah's command as his servants. so by doing ibadah and following Allah's rules, Allah will grant us w the reward in the hereafter as well as provide peace and satisfaction in this life.

week 3

week 3 topic is about preparing for prayer with concentration (khusyu'). we discussed about how to achieve khusyu' in our prayer. there's 2 things that can hinder khusyu' in prayer. the first is shubhat and the other one is shahwat. but by practicing tamahhum and tadabbur in salah, it can help us gain khusyu' in our prayer.

week 4

this week we continue the topic of preparing for prayer with concentration, with its virtues. prayer without khusyu' is valid but we will earn less reward. we figure out how do we know whether we have khusyu' or not. prayer is our way to communicate with Allah SWT. so it's good for us if we can perform it in a perfect state.

the topic for week 5 is the virtues found in sawm (fasting). what is fasting? why muslim need to fast during ramadhan? what is the concession in fasting? all the questions have been answered together during usrah. it was a great opportunity for us to sawm as it can teach us sabr in various situation.

we've been discussing about the virtues found in zakat or sadaqah. we got to distinguish between zakat and sadaqah. then, we also jot down many virtues of doing it such as tawakkul, ukhuwah and bridging relationships.
