These segments are about as long as 1/4 of a western tone.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Indian Music</strong><br>Indian classical music a subcontinent of Indian music, has two major traditions: the North Indian classical music tradition is called Hindustani, while the South Indian expression is called Carnatic.<br><br>Instruments that tend to be used   in Indian music are Sitar, Sarod, Esraj, Tanpura and many more. <br><br>Modern Indian music tends to be a fussion with western pop.<br>They also tend to be fast-paced and upbeat and very easy to dance too.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>- Karnatak or Carnatic, Music is the traditional music of southern India. <br>- In contrast to Northern styles, it is more thoroughly oriented to the voice. Even when instruments are used a little they are played somewhat in imitation of singing generally within a vocal range. <br>- There are fewer instruments used in Karnataka than northern Indian music. <br>- The basic principles of raga (melody type) tala (cyclical rhythmic pattern) are the same in the south and north, but each musical tradition has its own form of it. <br>- Swara refers to a type of musical sound that is a single note, which defines a relative (higher or lower) position of a note, rather than a defined frequency. Swaras also refer to the solfege of Carnatic music, which consist of seven notes, "sa-ri-ga-ma-pa-da-ni" compared to Western do-re-mi-fa-so-la-ti).'</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
