Logistic is part of the supply chain but logistic is the 'lube' that makes everything flow smoothly without any stops.  The transportation itself is both externally and internally in the company, but should always be attempted to be as smooth and straightforward as possible. The word "logistics" also suggests that it should be logical - it must make sense.

Supply Chain is how the company gets supplied with materials and other things.
