  • Target: People who underplay their problems in order to make themselves feel better.
  • Failing: Underplaying their problems that should be a big deal, and fail through lying to themselves that it is better than it really is which leads to their ultimate demise. 
  • Strategy: The dog's obvious predicament that should be an immediate and extreme cause of worry is attempted to be minimized by the dog's statements. He is trying to convince himself that it is okay, despite literally being on fire and dying. This is irony.
  • Desired Outcome: To get people to be real with themselves and their problems and not trivialize the things that they really need help with.

    strategy: "Visual Rhetoric" uses exaggeration and ridicules the presidential candidates by putting off-guard pictures of them as the main focus, and exaggerates how America will "survive" if both candidates are gone. 
    Outcome: The meme is mean't to make people laugh in a time where America seemed divided because of the two candidates and their political parties. The meme relates to all people because they were already based upon already existing ideas of the two candidates.

    Target: People who are protesting for their kids to not have to wear masks at their schools even though it is not entirely safe to do so yet due to the Delta Variant.
     
    Failing: When people advocate against a mandate for masks in schools, they put their children in danger by making it easier for students to be exposed to the virus. This is heightened with the rise of the Delta variant.
     
    Strategy: The artist pictures coronavirus as a parent sending their child, the Delta variant, to school alongside the child of a parent who is against mask mandates. It uses humor to indicate that the Delta variant will be present in the schools that do not take safety measures against it, and that the children of parents against those measures may have to pay the price for it.
     
    Desired Outcome: To get parents to realize that if they do not have the proper precautions put in place to keep their kids safe, they could get sick with the Delta Variant due to their negligence.

It also adds in a bit of humorous irony, with the overweight man who is chowing down on sodium-packed chips accusing Biles of being “lazy and entitled”. 

    Desired change: To stimulate the development of self-awareness within society and to encourage people to take a step back and examine their own life choices before condemning the choices of others.
