1. CONCEPT-Social Capital is actually built more on weak social ties rather than close ties (mentors, family, friends). Close ties consume a lot of physical, mental, and emotional bandwidth. Close ties keep us comfortable in terms of keeping us connected to familiar social networks and opportunities. In contrast, weak social ties present diverse perspectives and opportunities to connect to new social networks.

In Glenn County, education specialists review results with students and academic counselors for guidance in work-based experiences, educational courses, and career connections. Reports are uploaded and attached in the transition pages in SEIS. WorkAbility team reviews/tracks data as well.

3) Industry Certifications

Using the reports, students can be encouraged to enroll in CTE pathways, CTE summer camps, internships, etc.

4) Data Analytics Drives Decision Making Student aptitude results are shared with community workforce development rep.

Jobs - students as young as 18 can become dispatchers, correctional officers, and EMTs.

This sector is focusing on micro credentials. Correct use of handcuffs, safety procedures, etc.
