1. Speak Now
This app allows the user to type or audio record words or phrases and then it translates it from English to numerous different languages or vice versa.

2. Kids Picture Dictionary
This app is a picture dictionary with photo examples for each letter sound. Each photo is accompanied by an audio sentence. The student can listen to the sentence and they can also record themselves repeating the sentence. They can also play it back and hear themselves.

3. Speech Cards
This app allows teachers to create text and picture cards for their students. Students can go in and see the pictures and text and hear their teacher say the word on the picture card. Students can also record themselves saying the word on the card and play it back to hear themselves.

-This app is free and allows students to speak into their iPhone/iPad and it will record what they have said. The application makes corrections for spelling and grammar. Students have the option to then save their work and email it to themselves so that their work can be used.
3. Gizmo
Gizmos are virtual simulations that allow students to visualize scientific concepts. Gizmos have packages that can be found online which the educator can download and handout to students. The students follow the Gizmo step by step to explore a scientific concept. The Gizmo handout is also modifiable and thus the language and tasks can be modified to suite the needs of the ELL.
