Yes - can work well if communication and collaboration is strong, otherwise load might be too much for 2/3 committed people. , Some questions...do we all have to be on a team? Will we need to apply to be on team or just for MU?

Will this increase the workload for teachers on top of what they already do? We think it will improve both teacher and student capabilities by broadening our horizons and allowing us to explore areas we may not previously have had the opportunity to. Learn from others and be part of a like minded team. Sharing the workload amongst team - even distribution but person with management unit to take leadership. Is the cycle for being on a team yearly, two yearly etc? Student voice and involvement important along with linking to parent/whanau and community.
Work load and wellness of the staff??

1. Yes because we learn from one another and can pool ideas. Use different skill sets. More holistic and aligned to the modern learner. Not separated and covers more than curriculum areas.
People getting to choose which team is great. Tapping into strengths/interests.

2. We can work together, more collaborative. Teams will be inter related not segregated. More ideas, help share the workload. Using staff meeting time great.
Promoting distributive leadership.

3.How will we ensure that Unit holder does the majority and not just delegate. Particularly with cultural and people running Jump jam, choir etc?
How will teams feed back to staff?
How often will teams be expected to meet?
Student council?
How are we going to ensure that the workload between the teams is equal-more items=more people on team???
Will they be permanent units?-Trial with people first to see if right fit.

Teachers will feel more part of the team, not so tiered - from the top down.
Can put more effort in to one focused area. Not spreading yourself over several committees.
Sharing information with the Board will be benefical to both parties.
Student involvement is crucial.
Would the Leader stay on each year ?- 2 year role would be good to allow for continuity/ experience.
It gives staff opportunity to work with other team teachers- should lead to good discussions. Opportunity to know what other teams are doing.
