First of all, we want to talk about the city. Cities in Mexico were very colorful and they adapted a lot to the environment. There were a lot of low-income families and there was a very good relationship with nature. In the United States, since I remember, it has always been very urbanized. Where I lived, it was a very free space, there was a lot of nature and squirrels. Now we will talk about childhood. My childhood in Mexico was very peaceful, I used to go to the parks and get some ice cream after school. When I was in kindergarten, we went to eat panuchos when my mom didn’t cook. I was always a very good student but it was difficult to do my homework. Sometimes we went to the capital because of medical problems. My childhood in the United States was very different from the childhood from Mexico of my friend. My childhood was pretty boring, I would go to school by bus and everyday my mom would go to pick me up by the bus stop. My mom used to work at Chik-Fil-A and almost every day she would buy me an Oreo milkshake. It was the best part of my day to eat that cherry on top. Sometimes, I would go play outside with my best friend, Litzy. It was very cool because our moms were also best friends. We used to collect shopkins together. It was the best. We can see that there were a lot of differences, but also a lot of similarities.
