Depending on the amount it obsorbs affects the color we will see. The color we see also depends on the chemical bases of each product, that is why there are different colored diamonds. This means that diamonds are colored based on how their structures are build. Diamonds with structures that have impurities will have no color and diamonds while structures capable of absorbing and reflecting light will have color.

For example, in fireworks, they are incandescent so they use chemical reactions to fire up they firework. To get the colors they use different elements to get luminescence. As examples, yellow fireworks are made from sodium, blue from copper and green from barium. Also, color is perceived from the eye as the electrons in the atoms move and react to release light waves.These reactions allow for us to see different colors instead of being monochromatic.
