Modern-day Cana, also known as Kafr Kanna, is located in northern Israel, about 9 kilometers (5.6 miles) northeast of Nazareth. Nazareth is located in the northern region of Israel.


We know that this miracle showed Jesus' divine nature as well as teaching the servants of the historical wedding about obedience and faith.

Big Idea: Jesus has power to defeat all evil because he is God.


In this lesson, we'll explore the remarkable display of Jesus' authority over demons as recounted in the 9th chapter of the Gospel of Mark.

Mark 9 offers a gripping narrative where Jesus demonstrates his divine authority by casting out a demon that had afflicted a young boy. Through this miraculous event, we witness Jesus' compassion, power, and supremacy over the forces of darkness.


Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, if thou can't believe; all things are possible to him that believe.
