There has been a increase in the destruction of our coral reefs over the past years due to toxic pollution, over fishing, and developments being made within the areas.

What can be done to help coral reefs live

Simple things such as just using less water can help prevent destruction in coral reefs because it slows down the amount of runoff that enters the water. You can also volunteer to help pick up trash along coastlines to try and stop the toxic chemicals and bacteria from entering the reefs home.

One thing I plan to do in the future to help the survival of Coral reefs is pick up trash all around beaches I go to and to inform others on these potential harms they can do without realization and help them become aware and able to help protect coral reefs themselves.

One thing that we can be unaware about is using sunscreen then going in the water around coral reef filled waters which can be toxic to any coral living in the area.

I have always taken an interest in the ocean, and wanted to know more about it. So this project is about helping out and trying to find a solution to slowing down to eventually stop the pollution that kills coral reefs.
