A student can approach the smartboard and press the large green play button to start the CVC word maker. Students will then need to use their skills to figure out how to read/pronounce the word. Children will then decide if the word is a real word or a nonsense word. This promotes print awareness, Phonological and phonemic awareness, decoding, and sight word recognition.
