  • Si su hábitat es el Ártico al iniciar la simulación, los 2 individuos iniciales no sobrevivirán debido a que están inadaptados a ese ambiente y no podrán reproducirse.


    • Si se introducen depredadores en el Ecuador los conejos de pelaje marrón tendrán mayor supervivencia que los conejos de pelaje blanco.


    • Si se les limita la comida, muy pocos individuos sobrevivirán.


    • Si su comida es dura, solo los conejos de dientes grandes sobrevivirán y en las siguientes generaciones se hará más frecuente el alelo de dientes fuertes como un método de adaptación a las condiciones exteriores

    En primer lugar, la selección natural es un proceso mediante el cual la naturaleza busca el equilibrio de los ecosistemas y seres vivos que los habitan.


    De esta manera, cada especie cumple una función en la naturaleza para apoyar dicho proceso y es muy importante dentro de la cadena alimenticia. Por ejemplo, en el laboratorio vimos al productor (plantas) que era el alimento del consumidor (conejo) el cual, a su vez, era el alimento del depredador (lobo).


    Debido a la sabiduría de la naturaleza, los individuos que tienen una mutación perjudicial no tienen un horizonte de vida muy largo para que esa alteración en el ADN no se transmita a las siguientes generaciones.
