You ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO download the Retail Me Not (RMN) app on your phone. There will be an option for in store and online discounts to view. This app has allowed me to save at least $180 in the past 2 weeks. I look there first before I shop through my cash back savings portal. I love this app because it allows you to look up all the discounts at the malls in your local area. You can also look to see if there any deals at local restaurants.

You can save big time money by shopping on the off season or at the end of a particular season. For example, at the end of summer, you can get some great deals on bathing suits. Or at the end of the winter season, you can grab some hefty savings on heavy jackets. Purchasing Christmas decorations for the following year can produce savings up to 90% off at many places that you currently shop. I recently got some Christmas jewelry for 75% off at Kohls. They're super cute and ready for the upcoming holiday festivities. The only thing is, I had to wait an entire year to enjoy wearing them. No biggie though. Hello All. I am so excited that I can get items shipped to the store for FREE and receive cash back on top of that! If you're like me, you want things right away. However, if you can wait a few days, you can pick items up directly from your local store in less than a week - sometimes the very same day. 1) It saves on shipping costs, and 2) You don't have to worry about things sitting outside of your door all day until you get home. I recently purchased a fan/heater combo that wasn't at my local Walmart, or any nearby Walmart for that matter. The fan/heater that I wanted could only be purchased online. I just had to wait a week in order to pick it up. The store will send you a text when your item is ready. There are so many stores that provide website to store shipping...Walmart, Target, Bed Bath and Beyond, Kmart, Best Buy, Sears, Kohl's, Dollar Tree, Toys R Us, Lowe's, Macy's, Payless Shoes, JCPenney, GameStop, etc., etc., etc. Just do a little research to see if your favorite store does the same. I pledge never to purchase another pair of $200 glasses again! That used to be my life before I found out that I could just simply type in my prescription and get glasses for as little as $12 a pair. I know. It sounds too good to be true. Fortunately, it's not. I've been doing this for many years now! I have at least 15 pairs of glasses that range from $12 - $35 per pair. My goal is to have a pair for all of my outfits. I'm pretty close right now. My most recent purchase was $26.80 for 3 pairs. That is such a blessing, considering I used to pay upwards of $300 before I had a clue. My favorite website to purchase glasses is Glasses USA (one of our cash back sites). One of my favorites is to use Google. All you do is type a product in the search engine, and it will have a list of stores that sell that product and at what price. When you find the price you're looking for, go ahead and purchase it from that local store. You can also buy it online. However, there are usually shipping charges involved that will drive the total cost of the item too high to make it cost effective. For example, if I wanted to find the lowest price in my area for "Smooth n' Shine Gellation 16 oz", the results show that Rite Aid sells it for $3.99 and Walmart sells it for $2.56. That's a difference of $1.43. That might not seem like much, but it can add up. Here's another example...I recently saw some lipsticks at CVS for $9.99, while Target had it for $6.99. That's nearly $3.00 difference! By the time you purchase 3 of them, that's almost $9.00 you could have kept in your wallet. It literally only takes a few minutes (if that) to look up an item. Give it a try! Here's an idea... If it's a bigger ticket item, you can search your Ebates website and check retail Me Not to have it shipped to the store of your choice for pick up or even free shipping to your residence. Every other time I go, I can't find anything that I like. One time I went and I was so very disgusted because it looked like the '80s threw up in there! I have gone in there armed with my amazing coupons and deals, only to walk out highly disappointed. Tip #13 - Ross Dress for Less / D.D.'s Discounts

To me, these two stores are very similar to one another. The items they have, the set up, and the prices remind me of each other. I like to pick up household items for less from here. My favorite thing to get are dresses from Ross and handbags from D.D.'s. I'm rarely disappointed when I shop there. I recently purchased some end tables for our living room for only $35 a piece. The only thing is you have to have time when you go. There are hardly any two items alike, especially at D.D.'s. Once you've found something you like, you should get it right away. It may not be there in a day or two, so get it while you can.

Tip #14 - Big Lots

I adore Big Lots. I've been shopping there since it was Pick-n-Save! They have tons of great deals that you won't find most places. I like shopping in their housewares section. Many of the items would cost you way more at others stores. They even have many bigger ticket items such as TV stands, beds, couches, and rugs. I haven't gotten my area rugs from any place else these past few years. They also have name brand food items for less. It's basically a mini department store.

Tip #15 - Thee 99 Store

This is in reference to thee 99 Store. Yes, the one with the blue and purple logo. I like, no love, this store because you can get sooooo much stuff for such a great price. If you need things like envelopes, pens, paper, dishes, utensils, then this is the place for you. You definitely don't have to spend much to get a lot. I've been shopping there for over 20 years and have not been disappointed. They have raised their prices a few years ago and have acquired a lot more items that are of a higher quality.

Similar to thee 99 Store, Dollar Tree has really great deals on everyday products that you would otherwise pay too much for at the "regular" store. Being an educator, I appreciate the many teacher friendly items that they carry. They even have biblically themed products as well. You won't see them all the time, but keep checking back periodically. I also like their greeting card and party supply section. (If I can help it) I NEVER pay more than $1.25 for cards, wrapping paper, stuffing tissue, gift bags, and the like. There is so much to get at a discount there. If you haven't been, go check it out. I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Tip #18 - Ebay

I adore eBay. They have really great discounts on things that I want and need. When something is hard to find, I turn to eBay or Amazon. Just recently I purchased a swivel, detachable keychain holder. I haven't seen these at the store for less than $15. I purchased on eBay for less than $6. I also purchased a new tempered glass screen cover for my Galaxy 6 for only $3. They have been in the store for $10-$15. You might have to wait for a week or two, while it makes its way from China or elsewhere, but that's okay. Patience is a virtue. If you can handle not getting instant gratification form your purchases, you will love eBay as much as I do. On top of the great savings, you can receive cash back through one of the sites located at Tip #1.
