Why use PBL Why do you think PBL is not used more widely in our education systems? What is stopping us from achieving what is outlined in the video? What are the biggest challenges we as educators face and who is stopping us from adopting the PBL approach in our classrooms?

Using PBL tools can be a way to introduce a new perspective towards esducation. In a world in daily change, it is important to prepare students with habilities that they need, to face the present and future challenges.... However, almost educations systems in Europe still prepare students to memorize information that they can use in the final exam, without give them the tools for creativity, group work, comunication skills or analize information in a critic perspective. As a organizational structure, schools work as closed boxes, not associating subjects and procedures... at the same time, they are social micro cosmos, giving us the portrait of the social environment they are into, but without giving the anwers to solve them... most of the time because they don't have the autonomy or the knowledge to do it. One or two teacher who want modifie procedures or introduce knew pedagogical methods, can't do nothing for the all organization. Public policies must be aware of this enormous problem, and try to figure out a way to increase teachers professional skills in this new kind of educational approach.
