My parents migrated from Afghanistan to Germany. My dad once told me about it and he said that he has experienced a lot through his journey. It all started when he had got his flight ticket to Germany. The plane has arrived in Frankfurt and then he has lived in a refugee camp, but not for a long time. Some of the people he had met there (25 years ago) are still close friends of my parents and I am also friends with their children. The daughter of one of my dad´s friends, Yalda, is one of my best friends and we meet almost every week. And because she is also from Afghanistan we connect pretty well and we sometimes talk about our culture and how we feel about. It always depends on the topic we are talking about, so you can not conclude with which culture you identify. If we talk about food, we both prefer the orient way but if we talk about clothing and styles we like the european way. That doesn´t mean that we would not like to wear traditional dresses but there are only a few shops and places where you could possibly buy them. That is why you have to ask your relatives who live in Afghanistan if they can send single pieces to you. If you are on a, wedding you can see the different cultural influences in the clothing style. That means that there are many girls wearing a "european" dress but also many girls that wear the traditional dresses. I think the afghan culture is brought with the former migrants and because of our surroundings (e.g. worldwide trends), different cultures and habits merge and become one.

Nabila

My product is my phone. It is from South Korea. The Samsung phones are produced by Lee Byung-Chull. The prices are different but I paid 300€ for my phone. The productional costs are $380. I never throw things especially my mobile away, so my mobile does not get donated or something like that. It usually just lays in a cupboard in the room of my parents.Google is an internet website where you can find different things. You can search everything on google. There you also find pictures.
Globalization describes the interaction between different countries (manufactures etc.) and between people. It often has to do with the trading of goods, exchanging of information and the profits.
It now may seem to be pretty easy, but it actually brings quite a few problems with it. Let’s look at an example;
Imagine that different asian countries produce the same goods for example shoes. All of the factories now want to sell these products to the european and wealthy countries. They all want the interested customers to buy their goods at theirs and that’s why they sell the shoes for a low price. This process is then repeated. And because the wealthier countries decide where they are going to buy them, the workers in the factories are poorly paid  unfair. And because they don’t earn that much money, children will have to work as well at a very young age.

What causes the climate change?

CO2 or carbon dioxide is a gas which plays a big role when it comes to climate change or the green house effect. The gas itself is not toxic and uncoloured which is why a normal human being is not recognizing it. It is only a little substance of the air, but it has a big impact on the green house effect as it is responsible to absorb a part of the heat which is released into the space and the heat is then reflected onto the earth again. The green house effect regulates the climate we have on earth. If that process did not occur, no human being would be able to live on earth as it would be too cold. CO2 is a result of cellular respiration and it is also created when wood, oil or coal burns. CO2 is not able to break down itself that is why it is either stored by seas, rivers etc. or it is broken down when photosynthesis occurs in plants. CO2 is reacting to O2 which is then released into the air. It reduces the amount of CO2, but it is not big enough to break down the additional produced CO2.

Source: co2online.de (Nabila)

Around 4oo million tons of plastics are annually produced world wide and one third ends up in the environment. Everyone has seen the pictures and the news; animals are dying and you find stranded plastic bags all over the beach. Scientists have now found out that plastic waste in the ocean is producing marsh gas, a green house gas. It absorbs radiation and it releases the heat into the air. Methane comes from rice fields, landfills, natural gas production and even when cattle poop. Methane is said to be the second biggest greenhouse gas caused by humans but in reality its effect is 25 times more severe than CO2.

Source: deutschland.de
bildungsserver.de
www.fr.de

Nabila

- Travel more environmentally friendly by using public transportation.
- Avoid flying whenever possible. The emissions of greenhouse gases caused by a plane are by far the highest compared to other vehicles.
- If you drive, try to be in a fully occupied car as it has a lower energy consumption per person than a car with only one person in it.
- Turn off the light whenever you leave a room.
- Use LEDs or energy saving lamps due to effeciency snd a longer use.
- Lowering the room temperature by 1°C can save at least 4% of energy.
- Just try to be more sustainable and over think your actions and purchases as a consumer.

Nabila

source: www.myclimate.org

1.Yes, the world got more peaceful, but sometimes we forget about the different wars in the whole world not only in Syria. War is everywhere. War is not only about weapons, in the US for example there is war between Mexico and the USA because Trump wants to build a wall as the boarder. There is a war with action and not with weapons. A war with weapons is for example in Syria. The war began in March 2011 and never stopped. The country split up into different parts  Assad´s regime or Islamists.

2.The greatest conflicts and wars today are in Colombia (since 1964), Afghanistan (since 1978), Myanmar (since 1948). In Colombia agreed with the FARC- EP a cease- fire. More than 6500 FARC- Guerillo gave their weapons away. The president Juan Manuel Santos got the Nobel Peace Award in 2016 because he stopped the war. Afghanistan had war with the Taliban. The war started in 1978 and never stopped. In Myanmar the war started 1948 and there are not only weapons the “problem”. They also shout at each other.

3. There are different organizations which are there to ´govern the world´. For example NATO (North Atlantic Treaty Organization). NATO is situated in Brussel since 1967. From 1949 until 1952 in London and from 1952 until 1967 in Paris. In NATO there are 29 member countries. NATO stands for peace and safety. There is no war in the NATO itself. Another organization is the UN. The UN exists since 1945 and was found in San Francisco. In the moment they are situated in New York City. 193 states belong to the UN. In the UN they speak English, French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian and Spanish. In the UN live less than 7.5 Billions of people. The Red Cross exists since 1863. Red Cross is a medical help station and is used for the health of older people but it is also about social work worldwide.

The start of adidas was in 1949. Adolf Dassler still produced shoes and famous people wore them. The worldcup in 1954 was the big breakthrough for Dassler because the winning country, Germany, was advertising adidas.

Adidas is a well known brand globally and even 96% of the Germans are familiar with it. That is because Adidas has expanded over the last few decades. With the different cooperations with the above named brands, it got even more popular over time. It is specified on sport goods and it is advertising its product in different ways. 6000 Olympic athletes from 33 countries were using the sports geer of adidas in the last summer Olympic. But that was only one example of how Adidas is making profits by working together with 65 different countries worldwide. Without the factories in Asia, Adidas would not be able to produce all their sports geer. But in these factories, most of the workers are treated poorly and without any respect.

Antonia & Nabila

http://whatinthegovernment.blogspot.com/2014/10/globalization-adidas.html
