Matt I believe that the quality of the book A Monster Calls was good. I would recommend this book to a friend because I believe that they might have a different opinion then me. I would recommend to a person that likes realistic fiction, and does not like fantasy. The only problem with the quality of writing was that it took a while to truly get into the true meaning of the story.

The writing in the book was always so descriptive which always kept me intrigued because it could paint the picture in mind, as if it was a movie. The quality of the story writing was also very interesting, and always kept me wondering what would happen next and what the ending would be. Putting these two points together, it made A Monster Calls a rich book that I enjoyed. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy realistic fiction, because it provides something new and mixes up the genre by also adding a bit of fantasy.

I really like A Monster Calls because of how the story had been something that could actually happen to a person, but having some elements of fantasy to it. I liked how the end was tied together, even though it was a little disappointing. I would definitely recommend this book to readers who like realistic fiction, so they could stay within their comfort zone but branching out a little as well.

I think the the quality in which Patrick Ness wrote this novel was well written, because he captured each sentence in a way that the readers would easily picture a scene. I would definitely recommend this book to someone like my sister, who enjoys the fantasy genre and would like the writing style of Patrick Ness. Basically this is one of the books you recommend to someone, and every time you see them they would be stuck to the book.

I would give A Monster Calls 3 and a half out of four because I really liked how well I could visualize what the author was writing and it was pretty interesting. What i disliked about the book was the dad just randomly being there leaving and having really no purpose at all, and I would have liked to find out what Conor's reaction to his mothers death, having to move to his grandmothers house, and what the kids at school would have done would have been. I would recommend this book to people that like sort of realistic fantasy.

I really enjoyed A Monster Calls as the descriptive writing, twists and turns, and the stories were really well made and got me thinking about predictions that i've never made before! The dad I think definitely needed more explanation to and maybe an appearance at the end of the book, maybe to visit Conor or to be there when his mom died. I would recommend this book to people who have a deep thought and make extreme predictions while reading books, also to people who love a mystery and a what could happen next book. Although in the end there were some questions that still needed explaining, A Monster Calls is still a great book.

I thought the book was very well written. The characters and how they acted showed emotion instead of just blank expressions. You could easily visualize whats happening thanks to the descriptive writing and extra words used to really bring these scenes to life. I very much enjoyed the book. I liked the storys the monster told better than the actual book. Coners struggle was interesting but the stories really made the book for me. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys fantasy mystery books.

I think that the monster calls is a very well written book aswell as it really pulls you in with hook after hook And just an Urge to keep reading. it seems like the characters in the book are so real because of all of the stugles that Conor and his mom go through like this book would still be good event without the monster

I would totally recommend this book to other readers who enjoy serious books, with an enjoyable story. A Monster Calls has a very interesting story line, and I would not recommend this book to younger readers. It has a lot of fantasy and mystery, so you shouldn't read it unless you enjoy that like I do.

I really adored how Patrick Ness wrote this novel. It was very descriptive and vivid. There was a lot of suspense and emotion, that got my attention, which made me want to read the next page. The one thing I didn't like was how predictable the ending got. In my opinion, I think the ending should be completely unpredictable so that reader stays interested. I lost my interest a chapter or two before the end, because the ending became obvious. I wouldn't personally read this book, but I did enjoy reading it as a class, and hearing other peoples thoughts and ideas. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys reading realistic fiction, or someone who enjoys fantasy.
