After watching the video on a teacher's use of Edmodo, I began to think about how using this tool will help students who may not like reading to become engaged. In the technological age today, many students love being online and interacting with others through social media. Students who tend to refuse to read and discuss without technology, may have more motivation to do so through edmodo.

Watching the students engage themselves in the lessons. Students love using technology throughout the day. Using Edmodo the students were more engaged to read a story than without it. The program made reading more interactive and engaging so the students were more interested than normal.

A classroom management issue that any teacher will face is having students who won't want to participate, no matter how much encouragement you give them. Edmodo can help in fixing this issue by incorporating technology to encourage student engagement. In the video, I liked how the teacher emphasized that the shy students who never responded now have a chance to answer questions. These students now have their voice being heard when posting on Edmodo.

Let's face it, it's very challenging to get all of your students focused, on task and willing to participate in class. By using Edmodo, students feel more "at home" when it comes to communicating online. As stated in the video, students who never participated in class before, began to actively participate through Edmodo. Edmodo creates a sense of community within the classroom.
